  1. Graham Hill is the driver in the picture. I do not understand your confusion over what race; it is Nurburgring 1964.

  3. I am currently building a pair of 158s. With great reluctance, knowing that if I screwed it up, I would ruin an irreplaceable nose cone, I finally ordered the Indycals grille: https://www.indycals.net/parts/f1parts/50alfa158.html. Once the grilles came, it took awhile to talk myself into cutting into the plastic, but once I did, I was totally pleased with how easy it was to fit the grille and how great it looks once in place.
  4. You have two alternatives, I have some of both and you cannot go wrong either way: https://www.shapeways.com/product/CFBNYLH2M/chaparral-tires?optionId=112083132&li=marketplace https://www.modelbuilderswh.com/collections/wheels-tires/products/wheel-and-tire-set-1-24th-scale-1 Both are going to look slightly underscale as I think Strombecker might have over-done the wheel wells.
  5. Neat project. Go here for some really good photos of the frame and a fascinating story: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/historic-racing/birth-alfetta-alfa-romeo-158-made-spare-parts
  6. Motor Sport did a story once, I forget if it was about Follmer or this Shadow, but it had full page photo of Follmer sitting in it, with the front body off. The front intake trumpets were right behind his helmet, the steering wheel over his knees and his feet scrunched up between the dashboard and the front suspension. The caption read: "George Follmer was a very brave driver."
  7. My brother had one and said it was the first self rust-proofing car made, at for the back one-third.
  8. I have been lurking here for quite awhile and just joined as I have two pictures of the Grable Dart engine compartment to share. They are taken from opposite sides of the compartment I took them at Road America this summer. I cannot get them to upload, so shoot me a PM and I will send them to you.
