  1. Very cool. Your building skills for masters are high calibre indeed. I got one of Paul Hettick's offerings of the 1977 Cougar you mastered for him. It was exceptionally well designed. Thank you for all your years of building masters.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘When Kevin starts offering this Montego, I'll definitely be jumping to get one.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  2. I see this post is a couple of years old, but I was wondering if these were still available?
  3. Hello club. I'm trying to find a Campesino Plastics resin AMC Spirit. My older brother bought on in the mid80s when he was stationed in Kentucky in the Army because it was easy on gas for his drive home to Wisconsin when he was on leave. I thought it would be cool the build a replica of it. If anyone has any leads one where I can get my hands on one or one they'd be willing to part with, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any replies. Randy
  4. Thanks for your reply. I figured the Firebird would be hard. Now thanks to you, I have some ideas for the Eldorado.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  5. I have 2 two upcoming build ideas and I need help figuring out what kits convertible boots would work on the projects. The first is a Cadillac Eldorado promo that I picked up that I want to convert to a convertible to represent Big Enos's Caddy from "Smokey and the Bandit". The second is an MPC 1979 Firebird that I want to convert to a convertible to represent Mason Dixon's convertible Firebird fron the Dukes of Hazzard episode "The Mason Dixon Girls". I'm not a big fan of convertibles in real life and have only built one Johan Bossman Cadillac to represent Boss Hogg's Cadillac from the Dukes of Hazzard and one Revell VW Beetle to represent Hewey Hogg's VW from the Dukes of Hazzard and those kits were both convertibles out of the box. I'm hoping one of my fellow builders here might have done these conversions and can point me in the right direction for a kit source for the boots I would need for these builds. Thanks in advance for any advise. Randy
  6. Thanks for the info. I'll definitely be looking into ordering one.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  7. Is RMR still in business? I found their website and I am interested in their 1977 Pontiac Can Am, but all their listings say out of stock. Are they out of business or are they just not offering resin bodies for the time being?
  8. I could never figure out how to pm people on this sight. Could you drop me a pm and tell me what you want for them. Thanks for replying, Randy
  9. Hello. I'm looking for the 2 small air cleaners that were used for the drag version of the Monogram Warbird Firebird. I want to build a replica of Cooter's Roadrunner from the Jude Emery episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. If anyone built this kit stock and has these air cleaners that they'd be willing to part with, let me know what you want and I'll see if we can make a deal? Thanks, Randy
  10. Thanks for replying back. I learned that the "Defender" custom Viper was announced, but had never hit production. I really wished it would have. I always thought it looked cool.
  11. Thanks for the reply. Your comment triggered my memory on where I saw it. It was in an amt/ertl brochure announcing the coming soon kits. It's never making it to production also explains why my internet search is coming up with nothing.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I'm beginning to think my memory is playing tricks on me. It would've been cool if they had made one.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  13. Thanks for replying Paul. Is your Viper the stock red Viper? Or is it the silver custom Viper? I always thought I had seen the custom silver "Defender" Viper and that it was snap like the other 2, but now I'm not so sure. Thanks, Randy
  14. Did AMT come out with a snap fast plus version of the Defender Viper from the old Viper Tv series? I know they had the normal Viper and the Dodge Stealth for sure. I could have sworn that they had produced the Defender also. I could be wrong as it was a long time ago now and internet searches aren't showing results for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Randy
  15. Thank you. πŸ‘πŸ‘I hope it stays a fictional story also.
  16. Thanks for the reply. With how much fun I had building my Shelby, I'm already planning on building another one with AMT's "Vantom" Ford van. The van will be my son's vehicle in the scenario, and will be packed with even more supplies and will be the main hauler in the tandem.
  17. With the state of tensions in the world and our country, I decided to do a "theme" build. My theme is we just ended a world war and a civil war in our country and we have suffered an economic and social collapse. I started with an AMT 1967 Shelby and did some rusting and denting to the body. I gutted the interior leaving only the driver's seat, shifter, steering wheel, dash, and cb radio. I added a tool box, 3 boxes of Campbell's soup, a case of Budwieser, 2 six packs of Coke, 3 cartons and 1 pack of Marlboros (unfortunately I am a smoker), and enough fire power to protect my supplies. I left off the trunk lid and placed 2 gas cans, jug of water, and a spare tire in the trunk. Added a CB antenna because I figure CB would be the easiest way to communicate. I left the tail lights out so I can't be tracked at night and added a police spot light on the driver's door. I swapped out the 289 for the 351 Windsor in the Revell Starsky and Hutch Torino. All in all, I think this build was the most fun I've had in a while. It definitely got my imagination going.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. I have a set of rims just like these from the Thunderbird I ordered from Paul Hettick. They're chromed and come with white wall tires. I have no use for them right now as I put keystones on mine to represent my real car. Drop me a PM about them.
  19. One of my next projects is too scratch build a California Special Mustang. Is there any aftermarket decal makers that offers 1/25 decals for the California Special?
  20. Any news on the resin offerings? I'm chomping on the bit for the Mercury Cougar.
  21. Very nice. πŸ‘πŸ‘Watching your WIP has inspired me to pick one up.πŸ‘πŸ‘
