Be sure to post your build progress using your available materials as those will be something new to most builders here and therefore quite interesting. Please stay safe.
You can bet it!!
Don't worry??

I will not rely on a kit but on a 1/34 scale toy that I would like to modify in order to make it as similar as possible to that, the box I would like to use instead is a pattern that I have in the computer archive for a few years, and honestly, it will look strange to you, but I'm not sure if I make the styrene box, I really like papercraft, so I was thinking of building it very precisely out of paper, add details in platicard and then spray it with glossy paint that gives texture and a laminated effect. I learned this method from the modelers who build paper airliners and I find it really valid??

Thanks for the advice, the basic model I will use it only to recover the cabin, maybe wheels and interior, for the chasis we will see ... ??

And hello to all guys !! After several days of absence I started with a new small but interesting project. I would like to make a box truck, like those used for removals based on a ford f 150 ... The basic model has not yet arrived and I'm still looking for the best solution to build the box, I should have the pattern file from somewhere in the computer ... For now, any advice is welcome Thanks for the attention!!

Yuppy !! Stephen, I'm happy that you continue this WIP with the tank, I really like the look that the truck takes on once hooked and it's true American trucks have more charm than ours between 53 'trailers and 3-axle tractors are the real ones king of the highways or rather of the interstates, I wish you all the best for the intervention in the hospital, I'm sure you will build models like and better than before !! ???

Unfortunately JT I was not on the forum when I built it, so I have few photos, but maybe in a while I open a topic in the under glass section, I take some shots from different angles and post them??

Nice work !! ?? Really nice beast !! ??

For me it is already very beautiful like this??, but I understand that having to follow the drawings some changes are actually necessary ...

Actually, Enrico, that is what I used to build my 53' race tralers out of... I'd take a couple of the Italeri race trailers and combine them to make one big one... I did a few of these until I found a good source for .060 styrene plastic... I don't emulate race teams as decals for them can be quite expensive to have made up, and most companies are too afraid of Copyright laws (with good reason) to do them...
Here is my nascar hauler made with the italeri semitrailer, I only used one, but I like the result ... ??

I already complimented you at the end of WIP, but they couldn't make it here too! ?? Great beautiful model, no easy work done by manual !! ??? For the trailer the choice is yours, I seem to remember that you like 20 "container trailers ??
-
You said a great truth, as an Italian fan of nascar I would buy one, they are insanely beautiful, I tried to do a nascar hauler with the Italeri trailer, it did not turn out badly, even if I admit that you can see that it is a European trailer hooked to a American truck, if anyone cares post the photo ... ??

Now the trick is to get it chromed up. Sanding out the imperfections is absolutely necessary. Right now the test piece is gloss black and I can see some places that either need filling or some additional sanding. Then another coat of gloss black and some Alclad. The Molotow pens are nice but in this case I want to air brush it for a nice finish. I'll try the larger Molotow pen as well for contrast and see which is better.
I am sure it will get a great result and when it is finished it will be a model of great impact!!???

Go, go with the trailer I follow you !! ???

Thank you so much DJ !! ??

Thank you so much for the compliments guys !! ??? Even though it is still a wip, I would like to add some scratch details I have enrolled it in an exhibition so for a week I will not be able to work on it ... ??

Wow, what a great job you did??, great precision in making the radiator air intake, as you know I'm working on a fire truck too, but nothing comparable to this !!??
-
Wow, spectacular !! ??? I love these semi-trailers, you should give us a tutorial on how to build them??, seeing it like this makes me wonder: Why don't you make it a nascar hauler? That reminds me of that. However beautiful work, better built than a kit one !! ???

However I have seen a lot of photos of this truck and also in my opinion the chassis is a bit short?? I really like how you changed the rear light panel...?? Plasticard and bare metal ??

Coincidentally, the paper model I would like to steal the box from is a Ford Louisville?? Obviously I will only take the box from that model as the paper frame is very simplified and not strong enough to hold a die cast body ...
