Very nice build in a great color. Looks very similar to Bahama Blue.

Great looking build Anders. That is one of my favorites from the old AMT promo style kits.

Excellent work and I've never tried Coral Blue yet. I'll have to get a can.

That is a truly beautiful build and excellent interior detailing.

Superb example of this kit. Nice work on the block lettering at the edge of the hood.

Great restoration and interesting back story. And thanks for posting the vintage magazine and article.

Spectacular work as always and I'm really impressed with the Mr Super Clear Gloss and the Tamiya paints used on the seats.

Well done, Tom. Nice and clean, and great looking paint. That's one good looking Pontiac.
Thanks Trevor, for me there's been a bit of a learning curve with the Dupli-Color paints but I do like the look they provide.

Superb job! I always HOPE my paint jobs will turn out like this. Great work detailing the wheels too.
Thanks Eric, I was uncertain how to properly detail the Pontiac Rally II wheels. Don't think I did them entirely correct but I'm satisfied with the result.

Great Work.

Thanks Adam, I spend a good deal of time wet sanding the final coat of clear on my models. Some modelers can lay it down smooth but not me.

Very clean build Tom! 👍
Thanks Mathias, I've built a few of these and aligning the nose to the body takes the most care and consideration.

Have to agree with all the compliments. That's one very fine-looking GTO! Excellent build Tom. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Donato, I just try to be more patient with each build and particularly the small details.

Wow Tom, thats one perrrty GTO. Love the color, the paint job and overall build👍
Thanks Mike, of all the colors the GTO was offered in that year I think the dark blues are my favorites.

I built this 1/24 scale Pontiac GTO from the 2007 "Revell Muscle" reissue. It was painted in Dupli-Color GM Medium Quasar Metallic a color I chose since it was in the Windward/Liberty Blue range that was offered for the GTO that year. Clear is Rust-Oleum. Nicely detailed kit that assembles quite well and one of my favorites from the early '80's Monogram releases.

Paint color and clear is looking beautiful. Are you applying the Tamiya clear in light or heavier coats? Just curious because I've had the best success with Tamiya clear applying it in light coats over Tamiya TS paints.
I have a couple of these kits and following this topic am definitely looking forward to building them.
