  1. Came out great Bob. That color combo is right on. Nice work.
  2. Thanks Thanks Chaz. Thanks Carl. Thanks.
  3. Got the Tamiya Lemon Yellow on the body...................
  4. Looking good Chaz. Great color combo. I like the hood top on with the sides off.
  5. I don't usually add heater hoses, but I decided I was on this build. I could add them there, but it's no big deal deal I'll just leave it as is. Thanks.
  6. Looking good. I have this kit, and will probably go with the dune buggy build.
  7. Looking good. I have one waiting, so I'll be watching. Top spoon green will look great.
  8. Thanks Bob. Yea, I think the Lemon Yellow will look good.
  9. The heater box is a separate part and there is a slot on the firewall for it. It can't be moved to the left it would overhang the firewall. The problem is the shape of the firewall. I had planned to add heater hoses, but it's no big deal, I'll just go without them. Too much trouble now to try and fix it just to add them.
  10. Yea, it fills the bay. But look at the passenger side where the heater box is on the firewall. On the model it's way to far in, half of it is behind the engine, no place to connect hoses. I think now the firewall on the model is too small, should be wider.
  11. Got the chassis ready, engine installed. Looks to me the engine is too big for the bay. The area on the firewall where the heater hoses attach is blocked by the engine as seen in the reference photo.
  12. Thanks Mike. I do remember seeing yours, they turned out great.
  13. I sprayed this with Apple Barrel sliver metal flake craft paint from Walmart. I thinned it with a water, alcohol, and washer fluid mix. Didn't really measure it out, but it was mostly water. Even though the flake is kinda large I thought it came out ok.
  14. Just getting started. Working on the engine, got primer on the body.
  15. Back in the day a friend of mine had one of these. It was yellow with black interior. I'll use Tamiya X- 8 Lemon Yellow on this one. Straight out of box build with some engine wiring, and a few other details under the hood.
  16. Thanks Bob. Thanks Mike. Thank you Garry. The kit came with the green tinted glass.
  17. Calling it done. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/185925-amt-40-ford/
  18. Finished up this little drag car. Nice kit, but some fit issues with the hood and interior tub that I tried to make fit a little better. The frame had a warp that I didn't notice until it was too late to fix. I decided to go with no trim, and no front bumper. I built a rear push bumper. It was the Coke kit, but I used some decals I found in my parts stuff. All in all came out ok.
  19. That is going to look cool Bob. I've been thinking about rebuilding the 50 I did over a year ago, never liked the way it came out. You are giving me some good ideas. Where did you get the wheels and tires?
  20. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks David. Thanks. Thanks Jim. Thanks Bob.
