Maybe this has been answered, but I couldn't find a relevant topic. I did it again...trying to remove a thin tiny part of a pair off the chrome tree. I get the 1st one fine, then boom the second one is attached a bit more and it snaps in two. I swear. Then I try to fix it or just attach it broken. (I do this with wipers, tiny little badges or emblems, hood ornaments etc..) How do others safely remove these? I've tried the sprue cutter, careful sawing with an exacto, and a pair of small but sharp scissor from a grooming kit. Doesn't really matter, 9 times out of 10 I break at least 1 it seems. It's so frustrating lol

It was a fun little kit I grabbed at Ollies the other week. I just had to build it when I saw the bumper sticker decal. Spoiler alert. There is a bonus actual bumper sticker in the box! The chassis seems too small for the body, so I had to slightly modify to make it fit better. However I think it was done on purpose because the alternative race version has side pipes that probably make it fit better. My first build post since joining.

As Bob Ross once said, "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents". I started this out wanting it to be bright yellow like the box art. Then I messed up the finish when I sprayed with clear coat and the paint all cracked. So I sanded as best as I could and changed plans to give it an Ivy green gloss, hit with dull coat look with a little bit of rust where the cracks showed up, but it still runs good! My favorite part was the idea to make a few boxes of shop supplies that can be seen through the back hatch. Overall, it seems like this is more what a Gremlin should be like in 2021. Hope you like it!

Hope everyone is well. Like alot of people, I've been checking out the cool builds on this forum for the last year and finally decided to participate some. I used to build some glue monsters as a kid with my big brothers. Got away from it for a long time. Picked it up again a few years ago when I saw some cheap kits at my local Ollies. Then when the pandemic hit, started enjoying this much more. (My wife started up crocheting, so I had to get an indoor hobby too) I'm still learning, but I hope to share some photos of some past and future builds that got me through the last year.
