  1. I have succesfully used masking tape. Put it down where you don't want the bondo, and after you get your putty down, but before it hardens, while it's slightly tacky, pull the tape at a 45 degree angle away from the bondo and it should give you a clean line where the tape was, and no bondo where you don't want it.
  2. I'm probably wrong, but I'm going to go with model...
  3. Clay, if ever there was an understatement of the day, I think that this would qualify!!! Beautiful paint. What kind of clear are you using??
  4. Thanks ya'll. DugE...green caps huh....might have to put it back on the bench
  5. Well, finally finished this one up. Well, for the most part. After I took the pics I decided I dont' like th ehood hinges, so I'll have to rebuild those, and I still need to pu tin a wiper motor, but I'm still gonna call it good. Thanks to all the great guys on the board that helped me out with the parts needed!

  7. Wow! I went through your album, and that is amazing! Great attention to detail. You nailed it!!!
  8. That would be Lady Penelope's Thunderbird from the movie remake of Garry Anderson's "Thunderbirds" F-A-B
  9. Another line to look into is www.autoaircolors.com The only downfall is it is designed to be used with a urathane clear. I am going to be trying these soon and using duplicolor clear. If not, you'll need to invest inregualr automotive grade clear. And seconds on the repirator no matter what kind of paint you shoot..
  10. Found these shopping with the wife today. Went into one of those beauty supply stores and while waiting on the misses, found these. I don't know the actual grits, but the purple is about a 100, with the others getting progressively finer. Nice and small with a good point for getting into those hard to reach places. I think they're designed for manicure work. If ya'll have one of these stores around you, might be worth a look to see if they have them.
  11. Hey hey hey!!! No reason to bring a poor old Mustang into this! They would have been better off crunching a Camaro But ya'll are right. I'm only hoping that they were originally bought by the movie companies years ago with some kind os stipulatoin that they could never be sold to the public. Then, maybe, and only maybe, can I see crunching one up. Or, even better, they were a couple of bondo babies from teh scrap yard. Aw hell, there ain't no way to justify it......
  12. George, I wish I had an answer for ya! Just watched it this wekend myself and was wondering about that. I was pretty sure that all the E bodies were hardtops....
  13. Well, Murphy has struck. Thought I had it going good with the decals showing up this weekend. Well, I managed to mess those up, lose the rear bumper, and since I didn't paint the hood with the rest of the body, it doens't match. Off to Modelhaus for a new bumper. This 'Bee is gonna be the death of me...
  14. You can use it over and over. If it seems like it's taking noticably longer to strip the paint, then swap it out. I swap mine out about every 6 months, and have had no problems. And it get used a lot over those 6 months Just be sure to keep it in a sealable container....
  15. I buy mine at the local Wal Mart. It's back in the automotive section next to the cleaners and waxes. About $7 for a gallon. And it will dissolve super glue....
