Built basically box stock from the AMT kit. Added distributor wires, fuel lines, and throttle linkage. I painted it using Tamiya X2 white and MCW Turbine Bronze with Tamiya TS13 clear. Thanks for looking

Been a while since I have posted here but finally finished this. I started with the Lindberg kit. Used wheels and tires from the Moebius kit. Added Fireball carbs, plug wires, and fuel lines. Paint is Tamiya acrylic with ts 13 clear. Decals are from the internet. Thanks for looking.

Your welcome Claude. I'm not sure what it is about VW's. I think they are a somewhat unique and iconic vehicle to begin with. But that in itself does not make it cool so to say. A stock VW might be interesting because you don't see them everyday but not necessarily cool. As with any modified car it is the modifications that can either make it "cool" or "Eh". Cool or eh being highly subjective depending who is looking at it. In the case of your model it is the modifications done, something you don't see everyday, and how well they were executed that for me personally made me say very cool.

Thank you Michael. The white on the sides is painted and the stripes on top are decals. For the interior I used Tamiya X31 titanium gold mixed with XF64 brown until it looked right to me.
