Hosted by the Central Missouri Scale Modelers Club, the contest draws scale modelers from across the state including from St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield.
The competition features 25 categories, including “Best in Aircraft,” “Best in Military” and “Best in Automotive,” with the best models winning “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice.”
The event will also include a “Make-N-Take” activity for kids ages 8-14 where they can learn to build a scale model on site free of charge and take it home.
The contest starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Hickman High School. The contestant fee is $10 but there is no charge to view the models and shop the vendor tables. The event also includes a silent auction and raffle.
