  1. For some reason, I’m thinking these were the tires in the GTO kit. Later licensing issues may have kept the Goodyear’s only.
  2. I have the following: These are on my original ‘73 Vega. 0.515” thick. They made a slightly thinner one, too! 0.468” For the GTO: I have 4 of the narrow and 4 of the superwides. Top pic.
  3. Thanks, Tim! It’s time to get stuff done! I started a Runnin’ at Redline, but needed to get this body done and shot. Maybe this weekend, I’ll sit down and write!
  4. Testor’s Boyd Sunburst Orange. Airbrushed. Clear is Testors Wet Look... I’m not a fan. I’d give my remaining stock to anyone who’d pay shipping!
  5. Thanks for the kind words. Some back story... yes, this is probably 25 years in the making. I had the paint buffed to a high luster and was very pleased. Decided to do one more buff....I could see I disturbed the flake. I saw it, yet no one else sees it. It sat on my bench as a reminder to say when to quit. A friend kept bugging me to finish it. Last year, while out in Toledo, I decided to make a list and knock out stale projects. This one came back to life, as did a few others. Taking little bites every day helps to get stuff done. If I run into a snag, I move to another project. So no....I haven’t spent 25 years building this. I’m also doing a write up on it, so pics and articles take time. I recently did a Randall Gremlin display for a friend...that had some paint issues but was completed to my satisfaction rather quickly. I build for myself and to share the build with those interested thru my column. I’m not into power builds or builds for an event. I build to enjoy and really don’t want to spoil that with unreasonable deadlines.
  6. Yes, you can buy the Eastwood tips. Here it is... I prefer using acetone to clean! I worked there!
  7. It may be missing the steering column.
  8. I’m wrapped up in a project right now.... I may have saved an original MPC but have to look for it! I’ll also look for the Monogram! Will keep you posted. I’d only want shipping from you!
  9. I once did a build for Fine Scale Modeler. Jeff Gordon’s car. When I cleared it, the decals looked liked hail damage. I had to quick find a second kit and redo the body for the review. If it looks good, just wax it.
  10. some have a seat back... some do not!
  11. I used ‘66 Nova seats in my ‘55. I’m
  12. What style? I have a small box full of seats!
  13. I’m not one to post a lot, but I have to say that any dealings that I’ve had with Modlbldr, have been great! No hassle, no drama, no excuses! Tom is just a pleasure to deal with!!!
  14. I have an old original body. I cut the hood out. Paint was scraped off using a surgical scalpel. I was a bio major in college. PM me for pics and details.
  15. I personally, do not like inkjet for decals. I’ve had sub par results, even with the Testors decal coating. Mine run. I bought a laser and it comes with intro cartridges. Meaning they are not the full bore cartridge. New ones are very expensive. Ghost makes a white cartridge but it is also very expensive. However, it can do 1400 pages. If you look at your sheet as 4x6 it’s not too bad as you can multiply that estimate x 4. Today’s printers are cheap but ink and toner are expensive. Don’t prebuy ink. The printers also have a shelf life. I had an HP stop and gave me a code. It needed a print head. 2x what a new printer cost. These things are made to die.
  16. Drag City Casting’s has just released a hood for this. I just ordered one. Check FB.
