  1. Roger, thank you for posting that website. I've been looking for Rod Shop stuff and haven't been able to find much at all.
  2. Roger, beautiful work on this Challenger. If I may ask, where did you get the Rod Shop Decals?
  3. That looks good with just a little bit of black like that. That's sharp. There used to be a 70 Chevelle that ran around this area with a similar paint job. That was back in the early 90's if i remember right. I always thought it looked cool.
  4. I've been using toothpicks with old cigarette boxes for years like that. Old pill bottles work good as well. It is a good idea you got there.
  5. Ken, I use the IMG code. I just click on the code under the picture on photobucket, come over here and right click and paste it into my post. There is a pinned tutorial on this on the forumin the Tips, Tricks and Tutorials section. Hope this helps. Chris
  6. There definately is plenty of room to play. I have another one of these I want to build someday. I'm thinking about going full fendered on the next one, but, I have so many other kits to get through first. lol
  7. Thank you, Skip. Curt, grandpa seemed more partial to 29's and 30's. He had a 29 tudor sedan, a 30 pickup , a 30 roadster, a 30 tanker truck, and a 30 AA school bus. He still has the tudor sedan and the bus. The bus has been in two different family weddings, and most of us grandkids, at one point or another, had a hand in helping reconstruct it. I still have the revell on the shelf. I'm hoping the hinges aren't as fiddly as the ones on the 31 tudor sedan were. Those were a nightmare. Thanks for the warning.

Your welcome, Andrew. Patrick, this was the most recent (I think) reissue, so it had the one piece tires. I believe the builder you were referring to was 'lil John Buttera. This kit has been repopped several times. I need to see if I can find the Hot Rod version again, as that is the first time I had this kit. The big Three kits in one big box kit with the 26 T, Model A delivery, and 34 Ford. Ahh, the memories. lol
  9. Thank you for the comments.

Thank you for the comments. Andrew, the frame was very fiddly, as If I recall correctly, it was in 4 or 5 pieces. It was a pain to get it glued together straight and flat. Once the frame and suspension were together, everything else was pretty easy to get together. Hope this helps.

Thank you. If I can find another one of these kits when I have the money to spare I will definately have to pick another up.
  12. Thank you for the comments. John, If I recall correctly, this kit literally fell together. Everything fit quite nicely. This was the AMT kit. I have the newer Revell sitting on the shelf yet. Still trying to figure out what colors I want to go with on that one. Curt, I have seen the reinforcing brackets done several different ways. I have seen the black as you had suggested, I have seen the silver or uncoated as I have replicated here, and I have seen them also painted body color. I am no expert on this in any way though. Just working from memories from my childhood. It seemed like my Grandparents were taking us off on one trip or another with the Model A club about every other weekend. Thanks.
  13. Thank you, Charlie and Tony for your comments. Tony, the seats were sprayed with cheap old Colorplace flat black from Wal-Mart, with a little extra texturing from a thin layer of dust. lol. This has been sittin on my shelf for awhile. I just started pulling some of my built models down and am in the process of cleaning them. I figured I'd take of pictures of some of the better ones and share with everyone.
  14. I know it needs headlights. It had the small ones from the kit on it, but I could never get them to stay on. Thaks for the reply Sam.
  15. Thank you for the reply Peter. I have a fondness for some of the old fords built stock. I grew up helping restore some to original condition. I couldn't resist doing this one more or less stock.

Thank you Gentlemen, for your comments. Danno, if I remember correctly that was painted with Colorplace yellow from Wal-Mart. Sam, I didn't like the lighting I have in the house, so i took pictures on top of my 1:1 Cougar.
  17. I'm posting up some of my older builds.
