Just a short intro. I've been at a time-consuming job since 1995. I never lost interest in model cars (or real ones), but just didn't have the time to build. Laid off in Aug, 2022. Not ready to retire so will need to find work again. But in the mean time, rediscovered the hobby. My interest is traditional customs (kustoms). That is, mild to radical kustoms from the mid 30's to the early 60's. Whitewalls, wheel covers, frenched headlights and tail lights, changing out grills, bumpers and side trim from other cars of the era. I like them to still resemble a car that you might see out cruising to a show. Even a radical kustom that is chopped or sectioned, I still don't like 'em too wild. I can appreciate the work that went into those ultra radical kustoms, but they are not my cup of tea, so to speak. When kustoms got changed each year for the sake of show points, that's where my interest tails off.
I've read a few posts already that have some great build tips. I intend to read a lot more than I post. I've been on the HAMB for about 20 years and have less than 2000 posts. I'll chime in here when I have something of value to pass along. but I'm really here to learn how to improve on my abilities from where I left off in the mid 90’s.
