Thanks. It is impressive and i have to say a little intimidating the first time I opened the box, but it has been a pleasure to build and the more details I get done the more impressive it looks.

This is 1/24 scale in resin from SSB Resin. Nice casting with tons of details. Here is everything that comes with this truck so it is not just a cab.

It's my first time building a completely resin kit so it has been a learning process, big one. Not to bad though, just patience and lots of sanding.

First colors applied to the cab.

    Main components.

Body painted and hose loads done. I drilled out the couplings on the hoses.

    The running boards done.

You could call it that, more of a thats how they turned out and would have messed things up trying to fix them.

    Thanks.

Yea Bubba forgot where he put the other night after doing some engine work. Got one on order at NAPA though, should be here in 4 - 6 weeks.

Finally done. At least until I think of something else to do it later on down the road, but I am ready for something new to work on.

Revell 1964 Chevy truck kit for the cab, AMT ALF Pumper for the chassis and wheels. Everything else is scratch built, resin, left over photo etch and this and thats. Decals are custom made by Die Cast and Decals.

While the decals are for my department, the truck is fictional. Sort of a what if we had a Engine 2 in 1965. Which is also the idea behind the truck. Sort of a homemade fire truck built in the station by volunteers in the evenings after work, built with what ever donations or parts they could get. Since they are not professional fire truck builders, it turns out nice but has it's little imperfections here and there that give it it's character.

I have my review of the kit online

Hey guys here's the facts on the kit. I got a review sample yesterday and it is far from the actual truck. It is a slammed together kit useing the Western Star Constellation kit, not a Pete as both the LA trucks are, and the wrecker body from the previous US wrecker, two Scania wreckers and the Revell Scania wrecker. It has no light bar, only the two rotators from the US wrecker kit and also the sleeper and fuel tanks from it. This kit will come no where near replicating the LA truck. Had it been a kit of the LA truck it could have been great. As mentioned before, another hoodwink.

The map is a scaled down version of an actual map just printed out on regular paper. I have the file on my site if anyone needs some road maps for their trucks. There are both sheets and books.

I found a gear shifter after all. Had a interior from a AMT ladder truck that got trashed so I swiped it out of there.

That would be a rolled up map.

    Thanks guys.

The pickings are pretty slim for emergency vehicles, really tends to add to the challenge of the builds.

The tires came from an AMT American LaFrance Pumper kit. Those kits about the most produced and serve as great donor kits for various parts.

Wow that is some great looking work. The weathering is just right as well as all the little details.

    Interior.

    The exterior.
