Very Nice! I'd love to have that 1:1 in my driveway.
  2. Hey Barbo, Sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was busy working and enjoying the show. I asked Delaun if you had showed up. He said yes and that you had left already. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. There was alot of nice models on display, the club worked really hard on the diorama to make nice. We're looking foward to doing it all again next year. 58 Impala
  3. Barbo, You are more than welcome to put the flyers for your show on the registration table. We are more than happy to help other clubs advertise their shows. Anything to gain exposure and promote the hobby. Tom (58 Impala)
  4. Just bumping the anouncement again. The show is less than 2 weeks away. Hope to se you there.
  5. Nice! I'd defenitely drive that in 1:1.
  6. I'm an Andretti/Green fan, they are all good drivers. I think Marco could have waited instead of giving Tony nowhere to go but up in the marbles. They're teammates for Pete's sake. Marco should have waited for the straightaway to make a run on Tony. They were doing almost 220 in the corners, things get ugly pretty quick at those speeds. I feel bad for Danica, she had a good car and would have finished well. It was a good race and I enjoyed it. Those Ganassi cars and drivers are the ones to beat, reminds me of the Zanardi/Vasser days.

Same here, I'm not really into lowriders. But I really like 58 Impalas. Very nice job, great detailing, nice color. Those 58's are definitely a BMF challenge.
  8. Nice job! Love the paint job! I have a built original of that kit as well as a reissue. I always wondered how that kit would look as a normal Top Fueler. Now I know. I may have to try that someday.
  9. $3.59-$3.65 here in central Florida, and it keeps creeping up. This rediculous inflation of oil and fuel prices is really slamming the economy.
  10. Nice job so far,you picked a nice car to copy. I like the wheels, they look good. I'm looking foward to seeing more.
  11. Just bumping the anouncement reminding anyone who might be interested. Also another bit of info, our show area will be a diorama display area. We request no display stands or mirrors. We have plenty of room for the models. but not stands and mirrors. Another reason being, at the recent IPMS show in Titusville we had an incident where a stand was accidentaly dropped on someones finished model. Fortunately the model was repairable and was displayed, but it raised a bit of unecessary tension. If you attend the show, your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
  12. WOW looks like it was a great show. I'm going to have to try and make it up there one year.Nice photos, looks like alot of nice models were there.
  13. Definitely the Gasser.
  14. It was an F1 game, but maybe it wasn't PS3. It might have been PS2, Xbox or Xbox 360, I'm so confused . My son probably has every game system in exsistance. I'll have to ask him which one, all I know is he has a steering wheel for the game which makes it fun.
  15. Real racecar drivers do know how to turn right. All kidding aside, I do watch Nascar. I love all types of motorsports. My favorite Nascar races are Sonoma and Watkins Glen, I wish they would do more road courses. That is some fun paint trading to watch.
  16. F1 is just Awesome, the technology, the speed. V8's screaming to 19,000 rpm. And when you mention Spa, I think Eau Rouge. One of the fastest corners in racing, that whole track is exciting. I like racing Spa on my son's PS3.
  17. Well at least we still have F1 on speed. OOPS! maybe I shouldn't have said that, we might wind up with 24 hours of Nascar

  19. Nick, I love watching rally racing. Those guys are insane. I was mad when SPEED took it off their schedule.
  20. My son and I went to the opening race for the IndyCar season at Homestead Fla. I can describe it all in one word, AWESOME! There was a 26 car field, it's great that the two series came back together. Homestead is a nice track, we had great seats. I have been a fan of open wheel racing for a long time and this was my first time to an Indy race. I have been to the Daytona 500 and all I can say is "sorry NASCAR fans", open wheel racing blows them away. The speeds are unbelievable, the noise is deafening and the wheel to wheel racing exciting. My favorite driver Tony Kanaan almost won except for an unfortunate incident with 8 laps to go. He was really haulin the mail and would have easily won. Oh well thats racing! We are definitely going again next year. Open wheel fans, we are in for a great year of racing.

  22. Hey Charlie, Paint job looks great. Is the car going to be finished by the next club meeting? Looking foward to seeing the finished product. Tom
  23. Nice job, I wish they'd reissue that kit. I have one in a box in pieces waiting to be ressurected. I've had it since my dad and I built it back in the 60's. All the pieces seem to be there, some need minor repair. I hope when I do it comes out as nice.
  24. I love F1 racing, the engine techology is amazing. But in my opinion they should go back to turbo V12's or at least back to the 3.0 liter V10's. They need to get rid of all the stupid winglets, go back to decent size slicks and let the drivers have at it. The IRL/CART series seems to work with the car design, engine and tire combination. They race on road courses and high speed ovals and the racing is still exciting. This weekends race wasn't much of a race with only 7 cars finishing, kind of like Indy a few years back. Except for Bourdais working his way up to four, and Alonso holding of the McClaren the race was kind of a dud.
