What a delightful little kit! Kudos on the build.
I've done Jordan's '40 Ford Sedan and can attest to the high level of fine detail in this teeny weeny scale. Unfortunately, my Tudor didn't turn out nearly as nice as your Model A!

Absolutely fantastic model! It's great to see Andrew's work here on the Model Cars forum; he is a first-rate aircraft modeler (you should see his complete "History of the Jolly Rogers (squadron) collection in 1/72, which is impressive not only in scope, but in the excellent execution of each individual model); he's also a great guy, and a friend through ARC.

    That's simply beautiful! Great job!

My hat's off to anybody who can make a proper build of that old IMC '48 Ford--it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

    Tamiya 1/48 '42 Ford Fordor
This excellent kit comes from Tamiya's recent line of 1/48 armor and military vehicles.

The staff car was painted entirely in Polly Scale Olive Drab with all brightwork "blacked out."

The civilian version was more involved. Color is my own custom mix of Tamiya TS Light Blue and Dark Green (for turquoise) airbrushed over Tamiya white surface primer. I used Alclad II Chrome for the wheels, grill and bumpers, and Bare Metal Foil for the other brightwork (the engraving is incredibly crisp, as one would expect from Tamiya). I scratchbuilt a firewall, as otherwise you can see daylight through the front wheelwells.

Hope you like this little detour into the unusual!

Pyro 1/32 37 Chevy Coupe and Cabriolet
Just a couple shots of these recently completed builds. Both from the old Pyro 1/32 Table Top Classics series. I used Tamiya TS French Blue for the coupe, and TS Champagne Gold for the cabriolet. Bumpers, hub caps and other brightwork were done with Alclad II Chrome. Used Bare Metal Foil for door handles.

I'll be doing more of these in the near future.

I would like the record to indicate that I have no opinion on the matter one way or the other.
  12. FactoryStock54 added a post in a topic Dream Time: What cars would you like to see modeled?

I'm something of an old geezer relative to many on this board, and I like cars that were considered "old" when I was kid.
I'd like to see kits issued as 2-in-1s or 3-in-1s (as was the norm back in the day) so that those of us who like factory stock machines can do what we like, while still making the product popular for the rod and custom crowd.

OK, here are a few things I'd like to see (the list is by no means exhaustive):

'52 Hudson Hornet (would love to see a 4-door, but that's not gonna happen, so would settle for the 2-door or conv.)
    '37 Lincoln Zephyr sedan
    '47 Lincoln Sedan
    '48 Continental (new tool please!)
    '53 Lincoln Capri
    '36 Chrysler Airflow sedan
'35 Ford--hey! ANY version would be welcome!
    '38 Ford--again, ANY version
    '37 LaSalle
    '40 LaSalle limo
    '46-'48 DeSoto
    '49-'50 DeSoto
'38 Plymouth sedan or coupe (or just about any Plymouth from the 30s)
    '58 Packard
ANYTHING by Studebaker, but especially the '48 Starliner, '51 Commander, '56 Golden Hawk, '59 Lark, '63 Gran Tourismo Hawk. you name it!
Just about ANYTHING by Cadillac from the 30s, 40s and 50s
    '41 Cadillac Sedan
    '49 Cadillac (fas-back) Sedanette
    '53 Cadillac Eldorado
    '72 Cadillac conv.
'37 Buick sedan (or ANY Buick from the 30s--they were all drop-dead gorgeous)
    '49 Buick Roadmaster
    '53 Buick Skylark
    '55-56 Buick Special
'54 Chevy 210 and "Handyman" Wagon (factory stock, please!)
'59 Metropolitan and any Nssh/Rambler from the '50s
    '53 Nash Healey coupe
    '34 Terraplane
    '34 Huppmobile
    '39 Graham Sharknose
    '39 Graham/Hupp
'77-'78 Chrysler Cordoba ('cause I got a thing for rich Corinthian leather, and my ex-wife used to own one; what a fun ride!--the car, not the ex-wife!!!)

    Need I continue?

    Wow! A Royale! Beautiful!

Thanks for bringing back some nice memories.

Lovely build of a truly great American classic.

Almost makes me want to complete the one I have half-done!
  15. FactoryStock54 added a post in a topic 1932 Chevrolet Roadster... by Hubley

Oh SWEEEEEET! A beautiful model of one of Chevy's most beautiful designs ever!

I remember TRYING to build one of those as a kid, and failing miserably. Was given an Ertl re-issue of the Packard roadster a few years ago and, let's just say, my Dremel tool got a major work out dealing with the flash. If there's ever a next time I'll get some Tamiya metal primer and a new set of diamond needle files as a start.
