Spended some time working kinda funky like on this here. Whacked a 49r dash until it fit, slid the steery wheel outa the 53pu in and glued the windshield frame on. Scribed door lines on the interior panels. Also put some locking pins in the li'l pu bed so's the tailgate will stay closed. Took mucho pics, and sent 'em to me Fotki-- apparently with changes made hereabouts I can only post one picture so far-- mebbe I gotta pedal faster to get me 'puter to work with the newfangled forum? Spended some time tryin' to figure out how to make that snowplow blade setup and finally had to take a break from that there and get some other funkiness done.... Founded a nice sheet o' 1/24 'plywood' for the floor....... ....did me some cuttin' and fittin' and got it in there. Hadta step it up over a bit of a bumped up crossmember there in the back. Slabbed up a new firewall. ...just noticed there be a lot o' room betwixt the wall & that flattie-- probly set the battery & some other goodies in there Got tired of trippin' over them 49 Merky parts, so hadta do a li'l cleanin' up and got an idea to use the exhausty pipes fer a hood support sytems.... ...whacked 'em & stacked 'em, and welded 'em up. Set the hood on and so far, so good....... Did some measurin' & cuttin' and got us a hole fer the stack/air cleanin thing. Might hafta see 'bout gettin' us a nice fancy chromey air cleaner on payday Did found a good deal on a couple snowy type tires fer them plowin' times. I knows we gots us some chains around here somewheres too.........
  10. Nice detail painting there Brother Dave It's all lookin', and soundin', good. Can't wait to see how the cedar cigar wrappers look on it

Was gonna go aheadly and fab up some rods, or whatever, to hold dat funky lookin' hood on this here tubby twuck, but realized I gotta fab up a fierywall first..... and before I can do dat, I gotta get the interior squared away.......so, reluctangluarly I started wackin' & wompin' on it Firstly, as the tub was with the tranny hump & firewall backem up stuff up front it weres too narrowly to fit insides the body very well-- leavin' big gaps up at the tops of the doors, so I done sliced that there offendin' front part off so's I could be slidin' them interior door panels up tight to the body. I also did a li'l 'damage' to the back seat so's it might look like it'd been sittin' in da barn with lotsa stuffs sittin on it, etc. Gotta add a wee bit of the horsehair stickin' out thru dat rip. Finally the big moment arrived and I done glued dat ol' interior, or wha's left of it, to the bod-- crampin' it very securely like. Might be some challenges wit the paintem up, but....... Whilst letting the glue & upholstery set up, I turned my tension to the hood. Wanting desperately for it to look mo' like sheet metals I done started slicing some of the fat off'n the edges. Ya'll can be seein' just how fat them ol' 49 Merc hoods are, there at the red arrow. Can't be havin' no outa scale lookin' hood detract from "the lovely flowing almost serenely beautiful lines of this magnificent work of art..." I daresays I accromplished a certain amount of success in dat endeavor The 'hood' do look a li'l bits mo' like sheety metal now. Some crime ago I done got me a book out'n the librarys all 'bouts tractors for to look fer ideas fer some dem funky tractor grilles for future rods. Found a few cool, and strange ones, but also seen these here really cool funkky lookin' 'bumpers' what look right to home for this here magnificentlly funky work o' art! Lookin' forwards to fabbin' one up. (the ol' heap gonna have so much angle on it, might not make it outa the barn under it own powers )
  18. Very too cool Ernie! All dat work for us li'l ol' modeler buddies? WOW! Don't know if'n I could use any of them decals as my builds are just a li'l....... uh......too weird?? But, hey, you hang in there Bro, and may God bless you and yours with a very Merry Christmas!!!

Collaborated with a friend of mine couple years ago to make a yard decoration for Christmas time... ......the fat boy & his T are cut outa 3/8" plywood backed up with some 2b4s. I did the drawing. Blowed it up with an opaque projector onto the plywood then my bud Bryant did the painting. The kid's a whizz with the spray bombs. I have a small shelf unit that has the expanded sheet metal that Bryant used for a stencil fer painting the grille. HO HO HO!

Sure George! I could notch the bottom of the grille so it sits lower, but obviously I don't care about your feelings. I's just getting to the point of almost poifect funkiness and you's wants me to de-funky it now? Luv ya Georgie boy-- just don't care about your feelings

Was feelin' kinda funky today so I done sat me down at the bench.... ...picked up a flattie and a brandy new #11 zacto for to start makin holes in the sparkem up plugs. Made 'em deep enuffs for to stick some plug wires in 'em. Done got me a Parts by Parks prewired distribumatater with red wires As usual, got a little crazy with the zacto and kinda trashed the one plug ... ....so I took a break, and while walkin' around founded this here hood off'n a Merc maybe and throwed it up top and drawed some cut lines. FUNKY!!! Yee haw!! Started gettin' into the funkiness of this here funky buildem up and just kept a cuttin'. Dats one funky lookin' tubby twuck
  24. Dang thing already looks worn out Zuk! Just go with one duallie-- looks like the outboard duallie on the passenger side shoulda got ripped off by dat fence post
