I am looking for a few sets of 24th scale Hobby Design Monza wheels.
I have VRM decal sets to trade, as well as other Ferrari kits, details, and decals. Let me know what you might be looking for and I will see what I can do.

Hi Gerry, Do you have any plans for the set of double spoke wheels from the Lusso kit? I have a bunch of VRM decals and a bunch of other things for trade if you are interested.
Thanks!

I hope AMT has designed this with correct 71 door panels, and it would be very nice if they happened to fit the Duster kit as well.
The door panels in the AMT 71 Duster kit are for a '72. It would be great to have accurate door panels for both '71 and '72.

LOL I think I bought one of them from you.
EDIT: Yup, I sure did. Seller in Dracut.
You are going to love it! I think it arrives tomorrow. And you got the cheap local shipping...

Well, I listed 3 Coronet kits at $40 each on Ebay + shipping and they all sold within 48 hours. I guess when you gotta have it...

Where is the best source to get a few of these .
I aint paying 45 or more on Ebay with shipping
I picked up 6 of them Wednesday, and by Friday my distributor was already sold out. The retail cost is listed at 41.99...that Ebay price might be going up soon.

I think this is a GREAT kit, but I would make some corrections for future releases as most of them are really easy.
My biggest letdown was the decal sheet, which could have easily addressed the biggest fail (IMHO) of the kit.
These go on the interior on the upper part of each door. They are about 15 inches long and are pretty obvious by their absence. The interior is otherwise really good and looks like it will build up very well. The lower metal door frame is not defined very well, but I dont think it will be all that visible even in a convertible.
Next up on the decal sheet (as a nice to have, not something wrong) would be the Dodge lettering for the rear panel and the dual accent pinstriping in red, white, and black. Those would be a lot more useful than all the flowers.
Finally, my last nit is the air cleaner...the raised ridges looked 'off' when I opened the kit, but it was not until I went and looked at one that I saw what was wrong.
None of these things will prevent me from buying a kit - it is fantastic (4.5 out of 5 in my book) and I hope we get the 68 Bee and 69 variants as well. I'm in for at least 3 of each.

I am good for 3 sets, but it needs to have the right 70 hood (as shown above, the 71/72 are different), and hopefully the proper interior.

Model shows are back after 2-3 year absence, the AMT 66 Mustang fastback kit should be out this year, and who knows maybe the Big Block Snake #1 decals will be ready too. 😐
Yeah, someday...

Anything new (like an ETA) on this? I've been working on an original and I am wondering (hoping) that the new one will have good GT stripes and other decals, along with dual redlines as on original GTs. I also want to use those really good looking headlights and gas cap to finish my build.

Trying to find out where I can get an interior set in 25th sale like this one. This type was in 73-75 Firebirds.

What did you use or the '74 custom interior seats and door panels?

Yep, still alive and kicking. I just sent Michael his order - I have some sort of data corruption with his address/email. He was able to contact me through this board.
I do have a bunch of stuff to resend to Cartograf, including the Big Block Cobra corrections, but just have not been able to get it done. Hoping to actually get some downtime to work on model stuff in the next few months. Definitely want to have some cool new stuff available for the NNL East.
Thanks,
Steve

It's a 1961-64 3.8
Well, not quite...it is a Feb 62-64 3.8 Series 1. The earlier cars had flat bottoms, and did not have the footwells in the bottom of the floorpan to give a little extra legroom. I think it is something like the first 600 cars were flatbottom. This one has the footwells, and they did do a nice job of it.
Doing a nice job so far Geoff - BTW, you can actually assemble the entire front frame and paint before adding the engine and accessories. Hope that helps with your build!

Hey All,
Vintage Racing Miniatures is releasing 3D printed dogdish hubcaps for the '67 Coronet and GTX. There are a few sets on Ebay now until I can get t he website updated and more shipping boxes show up. I have other hubcaps for the '68 Dart, 70-72 Maverick, and wheel covers for the '67 and '69 Mustang and others in progress.

Since that isn't an "original" color according to the conventional info available, maybe it was a special order or a late VIN with the some of the 1970 changes.
Just giving you a hard time Rex.? You might not know me, but I am not a noob at research. I like to find the unique and oddball things - the car I'm doing is not the one in the video, but I posted the video to demonstrate that saying things like 'All 69 Boss 429's were one of five colors' might not always be accurate.
I am fully aware of the conventional data, I just like to dig deeper - there is almost always something deeper. In this case there is a small handful of prototypes and production '69 Boss 429s with other features. I am doing one of the production cars.
I should probably go post it in the workbench section as I make progress.
Cheers!

Sounds like a cool project. All 69 Boss 429's were one of five colors and the scoop was also painted body color.
So sure you are young padawan...?

Well, the updated Revell 69 Boss 302 has a great new flat hood and nose...and the 25th scale 429 seems to fit (snugly, but no mods needed) in the engine bay. Battery is removed and the hood scoop from the 24th Revell does not look too large. Wheels, interior, and nearly everything else are perfect for the Boss 429.
I still need to cut a 15.5mm hole in the hood.
I do have to redo the fan belt for thermactor, and PS pump, but that should be no big deal.
The particular car I am doing is a '69, but it may have had a black scoop like the '70s. The restoration has not yet started, so the restorer has not yet figured out that part. I am setting up the hood scoop to possibly be removed and repainted if he finds out that it was originally black.

I found a Polar Lights set on Ebay that looks like it might do the trick. The 427 blocks have a much larger deck for the intake manifold than the 429. The 429 is really pretty narrow. I will check the fit when the parts arrive and will post here if it works out. I will likely send one on to Nrom at Rep and Min to (hopefully) add to his excellent casting of the 429.
-
Where did these come from?
-
Does anybody have a single carb Boss 429 manifold that fits the Rep and Min (or Johan Comet) 428 25th scale motor?
Thanks!
Steve D.

Sorry for my phone photos...these are hard to photo...the middle Boxster and left is gold foil or metallic gold, all else to the right is chrome foil.
