  1. After a couple months of deciding on what color to paint the 'Cuda i chose Valspar Garden Green a close match to the stock Sassy Grass Green. Later down the line i need to order a set of white hockey stripes instead of the billboard striping.
  2. No updates at this time i kinda of put this build on the backburner once i get back to work on this one i'll keep everybody posted.
  3. Heres my latest project alongside the "Mannix" 68 Dart im working on. Im looking to build this one showroom stock except for the wheels & tires. Im still undecided on the color scheme i do know that the vinyl top is going black.
  4. I'd been wanting to build this for some time just never came to fruition what gave me the idea of building the "Mannix" Dodge Dart is when i seen forum member Mr.Mike's version of the car. The original body from the kit got crushed i got a replacement body from forum member Casey. Might need some pointers on this build.
  5. I know this is a long shot im looking to convert my Revell 68 Dodge Dart into a 67 Dart Sedan to replicate a friend of mines Dart.
  6. The other day i stripped off the old paint off the engine to get rid of the Moroso decals off the valve covers since this is gonna be a factory stock build. I'd repainted the engine with Dupli-Color "Engine Enamel" Chevrolet Orange which is a close match to the stock Hemi Orange. More work ahead stay tuned.
  7. More progress found the hood that i'll be using its a resin piece that i got from a SA member. In order for the hood to fit flush i had to grind some of the material from the engine bay. Instead of going with the kits Hemi i chosen a 440 ci from a Monogram 70 GTX that came from my 70 Roadrunner i had to notch the motor mounts in order for the engine to sit level.
  8. Im planning on building the Larsen Ford Long Gone Mustang. Thanks for the reference pics this is very helpful on this build.
  9. Mike, The kit im using is the Revell 65 Mustang Fastback.
  10. Heres my latest build im looking to build this one out of the box except for the wheels/tires & some engine parts. The color i'd painted the Mustang is Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic same color shown on the box and the interior is going white. The wheels & tires im thinking of using a set of Torq-Thrust D's or the Magnum 500's from the 70 Mustang kit. Under the hood is gonna have the kits 289 ci with some Shelby Cobra valve covers, intake & chrome air cleaner.
  11. This is my first attempt at building a AF/X car. First order of business was to get that Ford 427 SOHC shoehorned into the engine bay i had to modify the shock towers in order for the engine to clear and also i'd radisued the rear wheelwells for clearance for the slicks. Im gonna need some pointers on this build beings this is my first time building this i wanted to be as accurate as possible. Heres some reference pics of what i had in mind and the build as well.
  12. Just finished this build yesterday was a blast to build. I'd built this kit mostly out of the box except for a few pieces to make this Baldwin/ Motion Chevelle look accurate.
  13. Carbman, Looks good for being a 30 year old build held up nice. Still looks great.
  14. In fact i did check out youre Cuda nice work.
  15. After finishing my 37 Ford Sedan i'd figured i pull out another old build this one out of hibernation its one of my stepuncles old models. It started out as a hardtop since the rear window area was so distorted from using Testors orange tube glue the best thing was remove the roof and make it a convertible.
  16. Heres a couple of pics of the undercarriage and engine.
  17. I just a couple of pics of the 37.
  18. Thanks for the tip, Harry might do that to another project too late to turn back now on the 37.
  19. Thanks for pointing that out, Rob i'd noticed the grill needed a black wash. I took care of that just now looks better.
  20. Those wheels & tires can be found from the Revell 66 Chevelle Wagon kit.
  21. I'd finished the 37 this morning it was fun to build had some challenges along the way. The side glass was giving me fits when it came to install the body so i decided not to use the glass makes it look like the windows are down.
  22. I'd finished the 37 today the finished product and pics will be in Under Glass.
  23. The GTX i was working on for this post i wind up scrapping that project three years ago. Now i found a replacement which i bought from fellow member Casey Littmann. This morning i decided to dig it back out being in a year and a half hibernation.
