  1. Please delete my account at once. I am way too old for the behind the scenes games you boys play. The majority of you are good hearted and I appreciate all of you. I don't want any part of this. To the other few, I hope you find a better way of life soon.
  2. I did the headlights, and almost the whole kit myself. If I did the body and glass, I would be a kit manufacturer LOL. The tub isn't even correct on this one, its the 75 RR two door tub! I use nothing from the chrome tree anymore. I do use the dash though. Just a thought, more to me than anyone. I'm an ex-smoker. It's typical to find money in a non smoker's ash tray for the toll roads. That's a very feasible approach, as is "sun-pass". The chassis will get weathered once the car is together. I paint the tires, no such thing as black tires unless my eye sight is that bad all these years. A light dusting of grayish tan on everything, even when a car is almost new. That blue paint along the edges should almost vanish, and the metallic colour of the petrol tank. Then same for the engine compartment, make it look a year old, nothing shiney, but not nasty either. Some leaves in the cowl and a rag left behind by a distracted mechanic on night shift.
  3. All I can say is, that is how it SHOULD BE!
  4. Thanks! I don't know what I'll do when I'm done with this one. I have read everything there is 3-5 times. And I'm not mobile enough to paint anything. I did this before surgery, planning ahead. Once it's built I'm in a corner.
  5. " Dispatch, I'm busy right now [ cough cough cough hack hack cough ] "
  6. I'm a sucker for these worn out old tool kits, even though it takes a lot to make one presentable. Detroit PD, like many other big cities had budget issues for decades. Slant sixes and 318's, mostly sixes though. They did have the good sense to run two-man cars though. I decided to depict a guy that would rather die of lung cancer than a bad guy's bullet. People love to open the trunk, intsall valve stems and brass lug nuts but everybody overlooks the stuff that makes a car a car, like the ash tray, the arm rest, glove box, lighter receptacle and outlets, streaking the glass from the wiper blades? No 75 Birdie parts here. Hate em! Revell Chassis, for obvious reasons. Love the Revell chassis, I use the 8-3/4" from the Socks and Mittens GTX.
  7. This is the steering wheel most of these cars had Julian. Easy to make.
  8. Almost everything in the MPC kit is wrong. I throw it all out except the body and dash
  9. I have them, but have no idea how much it's going to be to ship to UK. Send me a msg, I'll see what I can find out.
  10. Yeah, but if you say his name this thread vanishes.
  11. This right here is a perfect example of theft. The guy will cash the checks, not fill the orders, but then has no problem casting enough inventory to go to shows to raise some pocket cash. If that isn't theft, what is? But "he's a swell guy". Yeah, so was the 75 year old black guy that Wal Mart prosecuted for not noticing a gallon of milk on the lower shelf of his shopping cart when he went out the door.
  12. The big blocks prior to about 72 had the AVS. Hemis had AFB's Now "Edelbrock" sells the AVS under their own name for a ridiculous price.
  13. Nice work! Maybe someone will do one of the original Domino's pizza gremlins with the spotlight and a six banger.
  14. Just because somebody can cast a nice part, it doesn't mean they will send you what you pay for. Those who are not yet aware of the dangers of dealing with certain sellers should be free to see what those who have been shafted have to say about their costly experiences.
  15. If I don't see a 1/16th scale LADA complete with photoetch soon, I will send a terse letter to the gubbmint......
