  1. Real, there are a number of little things that point to real for me.
  2. I've been reading this thread and have decided to do the following. I'm building an air plane so I'm going to add it to this build. It only has one door but it has losts of muscle so I'm adding it. Ignorance can be bliss, but not so much for the people watching or listening to the blissful. In this isntance the ignore button would work great for ya all.
  3. Here's another link, with almost 800 engines. http://carnut.com/photo/engine/_indm1.html
  4. Looking great, is that a working spring hindge for the hood you have setup there?
  5. They have the internet on computers now, I'd start there. Here's a google link for ya. http://video.google.com/videosearch?source...204611117383723
  6. I've never had any real good luck with Alclad I tried a product called Spaz Stix, for me it has never let me down. This stuff is fantastic, can be cleared and taped, I never was able to do that with Alclad with out affecting the finish. It comes in a 1oz jar or a rattle can and it about 2/3 the cost of Alclad. Dave your product looks awesome, sounds like to still have some refinning issue to handle though. Spaz Stix resaults are very similar to your product, although I much rather use yours seeing as it is water based. Any plans on bring it to market?
  7. I'm going with model, the lens cover screws don't look like they extend through and into the casing. Also the size of the lint on the hood. If it is real then the studio assistance needs a talkin to, lint for one, and crease in the back drop sheeting .
  8. Thanks for the infomation guys much appreciated. I completely forgot about the Boss and the hauler, they where great looking trucks. I've never seen one built up though.
  9. Hi guys I'm new to this forum, I've been on the site for about a year just never been here. There are some great looking builds on here, I'm not much of a truck guy but I do have 2 in my stash that I'll get around to building some day. Until then I'll just sit back and enjoy watching your builds for now. Isn't that Kenworth K100 pictured in Murphy's Law WIP the same as an Aerodyn. AMT/Ertel did a great kit of which was originally from 80-81 then re-released in 89. I had one in 80-81 and would like to get another. I've just recenlty learned it's a hard to find kit, anyone have information on this kit? Or know if it is hard to find? I can't seem to find one, but that's not saying much.
  10. Hi guys I'm new to this forum, I've been on the site for awhile just thought I'd poke my head in here. Murphy your doing a great job on this build.
  11. 4 valve DOHC 426 Hemi concept engine found in the AMT street CUSTOM series '70 Pro Stock Super Bee kit. The heads on this kit aer awesome, with casting detail of the cam shafts/rocker arms and also combustion chambers and valves.
  12. Looks cool, now all ya need are some long boards sticking out the back.
  13. Rea. The tires look real as does the rear veiw mirror mount and the right side mirror has the factory gasket under it. The strip down the side looks a little wonky, like it wasn't put on straight, like it was rushed. Also you can see the "factory" fold line/mark on the front right edge of the hood just where the fender panel and hood meet.
  14. I was thinking the same thing. AMC 390 401 Crazy beefy blocks with 2.02 intake vales and 1.95 exhaust both cut on a 30deg on the seat face and a back cut on top of that. These blocks could be bored out .125 and still run strong all day. AMT Madador NASCAR kits, the entire AMC v8 line up from the 304 to the 401 was almost impossible to tell what engine was which without being able to look at the side of the block, which is where the cid denotation was found. Mopar 340 with the W2 heads used on the TA option cars. The heads could only be identified by certian casting marks on the end of the heads (I forget what they are). So as far as which kit, any of the TA option '70-'71 Cuda, Challenger. Buick 425, couldn't tell ya which kit you'd find that in.
  15. Ah ha, dumb a$$. To prove he was on his hand held while driving all the insurance company needs to do is cross referance the cars comp with his cell phone records. It may take a court order to gain access to the drivers cell phone records but I bet they'll get it.
  16. Welcome to the darkside. So, what's your stance on when and if year 0 existed and second how does it pertain to the kit of the decade dilemma we seem to be having here. No need to answer, just giving the pot a little stir. Welcome to a great and very informative site with a ton of talented builders, and a few good debaters.
  17. Pre-verbal; Doh! good catch. @ Spyder, nice one. @J.Sauber, sounds good to me, although I don't really have much to say on many subjects outside my own interests. At least not ones that wouldn't offend 90% of the users on here.
  18. Wow that sure has some pretty agressive camber on the rear wheels . Nice twist on a classic car.
  19. Some nice work there, thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures. I especailly enjoyed looking at the collection of "old" kits. Man if money was no object we'd all be back there buying those older kits.
  20. Now that's some great "tasting" smoke. Probablly still not as bad for you as a cig.
  21. This thread, the one about kit of the decade, could have and still can be a very interesting thread. If ya still want to talk about calendars and time google it, there are a ton of forums out there. As for the year 0 or 1 I don't really give a rats a$$ what you guys think so please go play on another thread. Peter made some real interesting points on "missing" and "obscure kits". I for one was very glad to see the Tom Daniels line come back out. What I'd reall think would put our hobby on it's ear would be if a "new" era Tom Daniels of Ed Roth could be found and his creation brought to the market place. I totally agree with Peters comments on Tamiya producing a Cobra Daytona kit, that might put it up there. What about doing some new tooling on popular subjects like the STP Turbine, there's enough of a subject variance there that they could produce different versions of the 5 cars, there were 5 right?
  22. And just so you don't feel out of place I thought I'd add some comments totally unrelated to this thread topic. I'm hard pressed to say what kit or kits could be considered kit of the preverbal decade. Now you die hard calendar counters debaters can continue with your own thread.
  23. Cool looking build, I really like the weathering on the seat. Huh ya learn somethig everyday on here, I never knew that the rear deck lid was called what it is. BTW nice touch with the battery too.
