    Some of my models
Hello all, I´ve been lurking around here quietly for quite some time now, but I thought I might share some of my models with you.

Revell ´29 Ford RPU, mildly modified with raised fenders, channeled and shortened bed. Engine is a 348 from the Revell ´58 Impala.
Unfortunately I got some ghosting/crazing under the yellow candy.

"Zsa Zsa Gabor" - Amt ´51 Chevy Ht, chopped, ´49 Merc grille surround, Buick headlights from R&MoM, modified rear fenders and some other minor modifications.
Painted in a Emerald candy over a dark gold base.

"Mental Violet" - Amt ´50 Chevy pickup. Inspired by a sketch of Cory Vaughn. Chopped, sectioned, shortened and channeled. Purple pearl over black base.

"Cornhole Missile" - An old Modelhaus resin body, modified the front end a bit. Slammer build. Home mixed copper candy and scallops painted in ivory.

"Midas Revenge" - Amt ´62 Catalina. Mostly box stock except for the lowering and wheels. Orange candy over gold base and flaked roof with acetylene pattern.

Hasegawa VW type 2, my first attempt with an airbrush. Scratched roof rack and stinger pipe.

    Thanks for watching!

Here´s a Boulevard cruiser I built a couple of years ago, Amt ´62 Pontiac with some parts from the parts box. Painted with SEM Mandarin Candy over gold base with white pearl on the body and silver base with hair spray flake on the roof and between the taillights. Made some "acetylene" patterns on the roof by setting a piece of plastic on fire and holding the body in the smoke.

    Looks great!
Is this the Tamiya kit? Grew up in one of those and it would be nice to build a model of it, but they seem to be pretty hard to find.

    Thanks!

It´s the true and tried Hasegawa kit, also labeled as Revell in the states I belive?

The paint is home-mixed lacquers with a 2K Urethan clearcoat. Lays down so smooth that it hasn´t even been polished.

    Nice ride Gil!

Thanks for all your nice comments! I´m very glad you like my little beach-cruiser!

Here´s a quick tutorial on how I did the roof rack:

I used KS Engineering .040" brass pipe, but I´m sure piano wire will work just as good if not better.

I attatched a oversized strip of .015"x.080" Evergreen with some superglue.

When it had dried I cut off the excess at the top and shaped it roughly. I then glued on a strip of .030"x.030" Evergreen approximately .040" below the brass pipe.

Then I just cut it clean and made a radius at the bottom end.

This is a very rough example but I hope you get the idea!

Sorry for my English, I guess I need some more training!

Thank you for your comments! They really inspire me!

It´s actually my first finished build in 10+ years, so I don´t have anything more to share yet. But I do have "a couple" of projects on the bench. LOL

The stinger is made out of an old brush, I just cut the front section off and polished it. Quick and simple!

I´ve been lurking around here for a while so I thought I might share this one with you.
It´s my first airbrush paintjob and it was easier that I had expected, it´s not perfect but it´s good enough for me.
The roof rack is scratch-built and removable, it "snaps" around the drip rails.
The stinger-pipe is made out of an old brush.
    Hope you´ll like it!
