It was actually an option if you had a V8.

Speaking of non-SS Chevelles, I had not heard of the Malibu 400, googled and turned up pics of a convertible w/ the strip speedo, column shift automatic, bench seat, and factory stripes.  Wild...

If you do a 6, you will need a sweep dash! I’m chatting with Wylde on that issue currently!

That would be nice.  I thought cutting the speedometer area out of a ‘70 Impala dash and fitting it in.  I think any non ‘70 SS Chevelle would have the strip speedometer?  The round gauges were an SS thing, I think.

At 19:18, did he say they were going to do a Warlock in 1/18 scale? That's different

Another AMT trailer reissue. They just re-did the Great Dane reefer trailer a year or so ago, so I guess it was due for another?

This is the AMT Fruehauf reefer trailer, the Great Dane reefer was an ERTL tool...  It's been a long time since this one was last out I think.

My dad just mentioned that to me ;  I was unaware of that.

I only 'itemised' the films which I'm familiar with (I've seen Patton, but that was many years ago).

That I remembered...my Dad loved that movie, I watched it with him several times 30-40 years ago..

Bill Hickman also acted in Bullitt , French Connection, and Seven-Ups :

    - Hitman in Bullitt

    - FBI Agent Bill Mulderig in French Connection

    - "Bo" in Seven-Ups

Sonny "Cloudy" Grosso was behind the latter, in addition to having a small role in the film.

Hickman was also in Patton as Patton's Jeep driver.

I'm not trying to argue either, but the definition of a hot rod as defined by the rodfathers is an American made automobile manufactured before 1949 modified...etc...

I think a new term for what you are showing is needed, it may be innovative and cool but it's not a 'hot rod'. My $.02 and worth both pennies.

    Over to you!

    -RRR

It's kind of limiting to be stuck to those old time definitions...1948 is over 75 years ago.     I get it, the diesel Tesla is an example of modern 'hot rodding', i.e. modifying a car in a non-stock manner.  A while back, I watched a good series of YouTube videos from Rich Rebuilds where they put an LS into a Tesla Model S... a lot of work and fabrication went into it... the results were interesting.

we got the ring camera. it is supposed to have a long battery life, but what they dont tell you is that in reality it only lasts about a month if you keep the motion detectors on and get any decent amount of foot traffic, say 10 people walking by per day.

last night at 4:45 am the ring starts ringing my phone because the battery is low again. apparently there is not a way to turn off this notification either. of course, with it waking me up like that, i had a hard time falling asleep again. i have since turned on bedtime mode on my phone, which is supposed to suppress all messages, but lets see if it works for the ring

When I had Ring cameras, I usually got about 6 weeks to a charge out of them.   You can adjust the zones for motion detection and the sensitivity to get longer battery life.

At my new house I have 2 of the Google Nest wired door bells and six Nest battery cameras, I'm getting about 6 weeks out of them also.  But the Nest cameras are a newer generation than the Ring cameras I had and have much clearer images.

The green one's actually the '79 annual, Jeff. MPV started using names on the annual kits for a while so they could be kept on the shelves longer without being seen as "old".

I think the only difference between them is the '79 has the turbine style factory wheels instead of the 5 spoke Z-28 rally wheels.

IIRC, the ‘79 kit had the redesigned dash like the 1:1 had.  I built the ‘78 & ‘79 kits as a kid back in the day.

I just got this in the mail and I am very disappointed. After the BOSS 351 version came out I was hoping for a Ram Air 429. It is a basic non optioned Mach 1 with a big block. What a waste. I took the big block out of the kit to use with the BOSS 351 kit to make the Ram Air. Neither kit had the rear window louvers and the Mach 1 has NO spoilers and basic wheels. I will never understand this one. Are they getting paid to advertise for a Bond movie that has been out for years?

It’s a replica of the movie car, which was a base Mach 1.   The kit is exactly as expected.  Maybe down the road they will do a loaded Ram Air Mach 1.
