  1. Did Moebius ever come out with a B/FX comet ? If so I missed it. Where would one get the Weber's and intake manifold to try and make one ? Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.
  2. Bought a can over Amazon a few months ago that is supposedly truest candy apple red there is , Have not tried it but the name is something candy apple red.
  3. Grump's Nova was a 1968 before they came out with Camaros. I am unaware of any 72 but I could be wrong.
  4. Your local auto supply that carries paint should have clear enamel in spray cans. Modern paint have stuff in the paint to keep it from turning yellow and You ain't gonna leave this model sit in the sun and weather.
  5. For model cars I just wash them with Dawn and let air dry. Winter is bad. Ive had to stop painting and let dry and rewash to finish painting. Sounds stupid but it works for me
  6. I'm old with a fuzzy memory, but I think most mopar v/8 were on the drivers side, try google
  7. In the 1 to 1 world base coat should be flat, shiny comes from the clear.
  8. A local guy who ran alcohol dragster told me overheating was never a problem, alcohol is cool running.
  9. I was just wanting to switch the cab with interior and leave the chassis alone.
  10. Yrs ago in Fine Scale an ex sailor built a ship for a museum, was 6 to8 ft long and after getting over the WOW factor I thought man having to build something would take all the fun out of it. For me this is a hobby and fun and when it isn't I put it up until ready to go at it again.
  11. To the beat of mt knowledge AS sprays are acrylic while the TS are lacquer.
  12. I would wash it very very well with dish soap let it air dry mask and repaint the white. You people like to sand too much. Some of these guys sand up to 12000 before paint, that's got to be close to what you have. Your model do what pleases ya.
  13. Inspect the open kit, have a few with No chrome.
  14. Anyone know if they are gonna make more of the flat beds ? I missed the first Few figuring they would make more, now I have doubts ?
  15. I started one years ago, took pics of my buddies real shop and cut wood to proper size. It was so big it would not fit on the top of my real tool chest. I live in a small house and no where to put it , work ended. But it looked great.
  16. Steve this has nothing to do with this build, we don't know each other. But I love looking at your builds. Subject matter, quality of workmanship etc. While reading Classic Cars issue # 201 june 2021 on pages 16 & 17 there is a man Noel Wilson who builds the same thing. If you get a chance to look at the piece I think you might like it. Have not read all the comments on your build but Hemi and air conditioned cars used the same fan. Hope that helps. Bubba
  17. Any chance when you redo this site you could put like buttons on it ? It would save alot of the same things said over and over on the built models . I would like to show I like but not a typer and am ancient.
  18. I bought a 1965 Cuda 273/235 and after the warranty was out I spent alot of time underneath it,13 rearends, b4 i found a big one off a 1966 Dart to put in. The only primer and it was light gray was by the driveshaft tunnel, the rest of the underside was painted same color as car. And it looked like it was dipped with runs and etc.But that was 1965 and it could of been built in Canada because the medium blue paint matched 1964 not the 1965.
  19. B4 paint Same Stuff from Micro Mark, after Loctite Ultra gel control. Some times 5 min or 30 min epoxy.
  20. I have a few but the one I use all the time now is Tamiya, in fact any pro tool from Tamiya is well worth it.
