  1. To the beat of mt knowledge AS sprays are acrylic while the TS are lacquer.
  2. I would wash it very very well with dish soap let it air dry mask and repaint the white. You people like to sand too much. Some of these guys sand up to 12000 before paint, that's got to be close to what you have. Your model do what pleases ya.
  3. Inspect the open kit, have a few with No chrome.
  4. Anyone know if they are gonna make more of the flat beds ? I missed the first Few figuring they would make more, now I have doubts ?
  5. I started one years ago, took pics of my buddies real shop and cut wood to proper size. It was so big it would not fit on the top of my real tool chest. I live in a small house and no where to put it , work ended. But it looked great.
  6. Steve this has nothing to do with this build, we don't know each other. But I love looking at your builds. Subject matter, quality of workmanship etc. While reading Classic Cars issue # 201 june 2021 on pages 16 & 17 there is a man Noel Wilson who builds the same thing. If you get a chance to look at the piece I think you might like it. Have not read all the comments on your build but Hemi and air conditioned cars used the same fan. Hope that helps. Bubba
  7. Any chance when you redo this site you could put like buttons on it ? It would save alot of the same things said over and over on the built models . I would like to show I like but not a typer and am ancient.
  8. I bought a 1965 Cuda 273/235 and after the warranty was out I spent alot of time underneath it,13 rearends, b4 i found a big one off a 1966 Dart to put in. The only primer and it was light gray was by the driveshaft tunnel, the rest of the underside was painted same color as car. And it looked like it was dipped with runs and etc.But that was 1965 and it could of been built in Canada because the medium blue paint matched 1964 not the 1965.
  9. B4 paint Same Stuff from Micro Mark, after Loctite Ultra gel control. Some times 5 min or 30 min epoxy.
  10. I have a few but the one I use all the time now is Tamiya, in fact any pro tool from Tamiya is well worth it.
  11. I quit buying off e-bay. Too many times I had a decent bid with no other interest only to get beat out the very last minute. Then the same model comes up for sale again. I think some of these people don't want to sell they just want to see what they can get. If you really want a kit hit a toy show or swap meet in person.
  12. A well equiped hobby shop or model train store will probably have it. They come in 3 ft lengths in various sizes. Good Luck finding a well stocked store.
  13. Thanks Bill, my buddy had a 1964 dart gt and it was bright red from factory but no brochure Ive ever seen had a red that bright. So I might try a factory color. Thank You.
  14. Thanks Snake but I didn't see anything about paint. They call it red but it looks like Ford Poppy Orange-ish to me. Maybe that bright Tamiya red ? Any how Thanks again, Bubba
  15. Any help finding the colors of the Bud Faubel's Hemi Honker would be greatly appreciated, both white and red/orange ? A big thank you in advance. Oh 1965 AWB factory car.
  16. I have a 1965 2+2 Mustang trans kit of his, nice car and nice guy. I met him in toledo years ago, RIP and sympathies to the family.
  17. Didn't someone ? revell ? make a kit of that ?
  18. If I remember correctly you must switch to a 8 3/4 for the Dana.
  19. Its been awhile but Don recommended Marine Clean. Probably too expensive for the most of you .
  20. With model cars, scale is very loose. I have a shelf with all 1/25 cars that is about 8 foot long with models parked next to each other and you wouldn't believe the difference. From Corvettes to 1965 and 66 Chevy's you can see the scales are all over the place. Not true to life at all.
  21. Call MCW and ask nicely they might sell you an interior for their resin kit .
  22. In my experience the only one to buy is Castrol Super Clean. The knock offs are Not as powerful.
