I wonder what decals they are going to include in the 90s Ford? Also I wonder if the snafu with the Lightning tailgate was a hint that they were rereleasing this kit? 😆

Glad to see Aoshima doing this, they always make fantastic kits

Glad to see the F-150 stepside returning, that's the one version I don't have yet!
-
Nice build of a poor kit!
-
Oh, I didn’t know it was already released!

Just came back to this thread since I'm finally getting around to working on my 1/16 '79. Have you made any further progress on this? I can't remember if I saw it under glass or not.

So yours is the reissue from the '00s then?
Correct!

I'd have to dig out my old one but I don't think those wheels are original to the kit.
The original wheels had slightly thinner rims and IIRC, the ribs went right up flush with the spokes and were a touch thicker. Also not as deep as those seem to be.
The red one could also be from one of this reissues of the '62 Vette kit. It's molded in red.
I wouldn't be surprised if they used the same wheels in a few kits. The gray ones are certainly from the van kit, I do recall removing at least a couple from the parts tree, and they are the same shade of plastic as the rest of the kit.

Gotcha, sorry for the presumption on my part.
No worries!

Yeah, I had one of the 1:18 Warlocks in black along with one of the 1:18 LRE diecast. The bodies are nice, but they aren’t as detailed as other diecast in that scale. I put the stake sides from the Warlock onto the LRE since I think they suit that truck better!

Regardless of your political leanings, it’s interesting that they included the “thin blue line” flag.

Not quite exact matches: the red one has the vents molded open.
The gray ones are molded open too, it's just the paper towel they are laying on that makes them look closed. 😃

*The red one from your parts box*.... Might that have been from an old MPC GTO that was molded in red? ....just a thought .
These are the only 4 wheels I have like this that are exact matches of each other. My other thought was possibly it was thrown in the box as replacement for a lost one since I got this kit from eBay a long while back, but I don’t have the chrome sprue anymore to check.
Edit: After looking at a parts tree of said GTO kit on Ebay, those wheels do look very similar to the ones from the van kit, so your idea @Khils may be correct along with mine of throwing it in the box as replacement.

Bumping this thread up because I found something interesting that I need clarification on. Did the rescue van (or any of the red molded kits) keep the wheels from the A-Team kit? Reason I ask is I just dechromed the wheels from my A-Team kit and three were gray while the fourth was red! Now I did pull these from my spare wheels bin, but I could only find the one set of 4, and the only molded in red kit I have is the Lil Red Express D100.

I’m sort of hoping it’s not the Foose version again, but rather the original 3n1 version. Either way though, glad it’s returning!

I guess mine would have to be mostly large scale kits, since those rarely get reissued.
1/16 Revell 1978 Chevy pickup (non monster truck)
1/16 Revell ‘34 Ford street rod
1/16 Revell 1979 Trans Am Turbo
1/16 Revell Jeep CJ7
1/12 Doyusha kits
1/12 Skyline GTR Veilside version

Sort of. There were only two greens, both very dark. I could live with Emerald Green Metallic and will probably go back for. Just gotta come to terms with spending the price of the kit on a paint can.
Yeah the price is getting outrageous, I’ve only bought a couple cans over the last few years because of it. I remember back when they were only about 7-8 bucks a can, and it’s now double!
-
@Lunajammer Were you able to find a green you liked? Just curious since I have an ongoing list of all the Duplicolor touchup sprays, and I know that some aren't easy to find in stores.

Have a double bar one here....
Yeah I have a double bar grille already that I plan to use if I can't find the single bar version.

Love the color scheme, looks great!

Of course, it will actually have a detailed chassis! 😆

Some more news from Revell Germany: https://ipmsdeutschland.de/wordpress/2024/01/01/revell-neuheiten-2024-model-kits-2/
The only new tool I wasn't aware of is the Lamborghini Revuelto.
I am happy the '69 Camaro 1/12 is reissued again I missed it the last time.
Any idea what kit the ’70 Shelby Mustang GT500 is a reissue of? I can only see the '69 on Scalemates. Or are they the same?
I couldn’t quite tell, how do you know it’s the 1/12 kit? If it is, hopefully they bring back the Goodyear Eagle tires!

Bump to the front page.
Why was the Supernatural 67 Impala 4 door kit discontued?

Honestly they just need to sell the wheels and tires as a parts pack since those are great for 4x4s, and the only other kit they are found is one of the 90s Suzuki Jimny kits.
