  1. Nice looking rig. This build has been a huge help in building mine!
  2. Thanks! The lettering on the tires are dry transfers from Shabo. Unfortunately they are no longer being produced.
  3. Thanks, The Formula hood is off an original MPC Formula Firebird. I just cut the hole for the shaker.
  4. Amazing build. I love it!
  5. Thanks everyone. I really had a blast building this one!
  6. I'm learning a lot watching this build! Keep it going!
  7. Ever since I was a kid I have wanted a model of Ponch's Firebird. While looking for Firebird parts for a buddy I found this. I totally forgot I had it. All the body work was done, I just needed to paint it and build the interior. There is an engine but it's not detailed. It's only in there so there's something in case it gets flipped over. This is an original MPC 70-71 Trans Am with a Formula hood modded with the shaker. Wheels/tires are from the Baldwin Motion AMT 70 Camaro with Shabo lettering. Paint is Model Master Dark Bronze Metallic lacquer with enamel clear. The real car was ALL bronze except for the lights and back bumper. I added the chrome trim on the windows just to make it pop. The real car: That passenger side light really fought me......it's in as good as it gets. Thanks for looking!!!!
  8. I have not completed a truck kit since I built the Tyrone Malone kits when I was a kid. I have been waiting years for the Mack truck to come back out so I could do a dump truck. I am combining the DM600 with the Ford dump snow plow. Here's where I am so far: The chassis is pretty much done. I added the mount on the back for the dump bed. I started de-chroming engine parts. Should this ENTIRE engine be painted gold? A few more questions. Would the DM 600 be a reasonable choice for a dump truck? What does DM 600 even mean? Also, I have these awesome aftermarket tires that I want to use on the front: Can I use these rims from a Revell truck with these tires? Thanks for any help.
  9. Nice work so far. Looking forward to more.
  10. Another one I'll have to get!!!!! Looking good Larry!
