  1. Been working on this for some time, had to straighten several parts but missed the warp on the chassis. I had to add some blocks to get the body parts sit level and line up properly, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. Question, did any of the moebius truck kits have decals for the hood lettering, I'm looking for a fool proof method to chrome the FORD script on the front edge of the hood.

  2. Mark, you are correct I checked and this kit only has the screws in the front.

    18 hours ago, Mark said:

The Fairlane promo ('66) and kits ('66 and '67) only used two screws for the chassis, at the front.  The rear of the chassis had a tab that fit into a slot at the rear of the body.

The rear bumper had two pins that fit into small holes in the body.  No tabs like most AMT promo and kit bumpers back then.

  3. I started restoration on this some time ago, several pieces were missing or damaged during the disassembly. Some of the parts were replaced by members of this board or replaced using a MPC  Dyno Don Cougar as a donor. This is the first JoHan Funny Car with this type of chassis I have built, it's a very finicky build. This is the progress so far.

  4. I just purchased a lot of kits and there was a AMT Red Alert Chevelle in the batch. I inventoried the kit and it is missing the radiator support (shown in the instructions) but the body in the kit has the support molded in. I have searched the internet and every 70-72 chevelle body I could find does not have this piece molded in. Any clue what kit this body is from? There are no numbers or writing molded in the underside of the part. The chassis hood and interior fit perfect.

  5. These kits were a great concept but the fit on the parts were the worst. It's a real challenge to produce a decent looking finished product. I thought this would be a quick out of the box build, was I wrong. I must have used a half of tube of epoxy to hold this one together.
