  1. The date of this contest has been changed to the following week, Sunday, May 10th. You might want to give them a call to verify before you make the drive. It's a great show and well worth the trip.
  2. Great lookin' Stang, Steve. Hey, doesn't it closely resemble the model you built? Silver stripes to follow?
  3. Great looking V-dub! If you can recall what your Dad's license plate was, you could make a rear plate the same....or just call it "DAD". Great job!
  4. Thanks for the comments guys! This kit was recently issued by AMT/Model King, so it should still be easily available if anyone's looking to build one.
  5. Wow! That turned out super nice. Great wheel choice also.
  6. I finished this one about a month ago. Built from the new Model King release. A few little modifications but otherwise box stock. I opened up grille area and installed mesh screen for a bit more realism. Also some Detail Master headlight screens. The engine isn't all that detailed but I added some ignition wiring and battery cables (just had to!). Bare metal foil chrome and black chrome foil side trim. I robbed the stock hubcaps from another kit and made some front hubs thru the caps. Then some light weathering all around. I made some license plates for it too....Idaho "Big Spud". Thanks for looking.
  7. Hi Ken, The paint is Alclad Lacquer Prismatic Maple by airbrush. It's one of their flip-flop paints. Sprayed over a gloss black base.
  8. Wow, I've enjoyed looking at everybody's choppers. There's some fantastic workmanship here, with lots of creativity. I've built one so far, and they're lots of fun. Definitely will build more. This first one is built out of the box from the Aces Wild kit. I sanded off the Ace of Spade emblem on the seat and applied my own iron cross decal. This is my first time posting so hope these pics load ok.
