Revell 1968 Hemi Dart - First Look
Patrick2005 replied to Len Carsner's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I liked it, went together pretty well. -
I really enjoy model building and I thought that there were maybe some people out there who would to but were maybe afraid to start for whatever reason. Or they have started and just aren't to sure on how to do things. Now I know I'm far from an expert but I do truly enjoy helping people and thought maybe a blog was an easy way to do it. Plus it's a way to share my personal experiences and perhaps inspire someone out there to try building. I'm not going to be on the forum, constantly promoting my blog so don't worry about that, just wanted to let people know about it. It's not much right now but it is going through some much needed design work so give it some time. And if anyone does have any feedback on it if they decided to check it out, please PM me. Anyways that's all I wanted to say, hopefully someone out there can benefit from my writings later on! http://minimotorworks.blogspot.com/ Miniature Motor Works

Seeing as they go from valve cover to valve cover I'm assuming they are some type of breather. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Frank. I was working on getting an Eibach lowering kit and possibly a GM Performance supercharger before it got totaled. -
Emissions test part II
Patrick2005 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It goes by the federal standards that all cars must meet for the year they were made. It's the states that decide how and where to enforce what types of testing is required. I personally think it's all a joke! -

Emissions test part II

I'm glad I live in a part of PA that has no emissions test. -
Just ran across this article on this sweet 69 Camaro. I'd love to even just drive this thing! http://bangshift.com/blog/ebay-find-a-1969-copo-camaro-with-dealer-installed-l88-power-ultra-rare-options-perfect-paint-and-a-big-price-tag.html

This truck is going to be my entry for the Revell competition this year and here is what I got so far. First the door handles, tail gate handle, fuel door and emblems were removed Then the rear wheel tubs were cut out to make room for the 23" Torque Thrusts (yes I know the cuts are sloppy but the tonneau cover hides it) I was first just going to cut the grille out and leave the 4 sections, but after I did I realized they weren't perfectly even so I eventually cut it all out to make 1 big hole Next, the hood. This is my own custom creation made by molding a scoop from the Revell 02 Camaro to the Ram's stock hood. Took a good bit of time and filler to get the look right but I think it looks good. Also made the scoop functional. Here is a pic of the hood and grille molded together and in color, The colors of this truck are all Testors Lacquers and the design uses Star-Spangled Blue and Fiery Oranges on the exterior, The interior is painted in Graphite Dust but I don't have pics of it yet. Here is a shot of the body in color, the top half will be orange and broken up with a silver strip. There's still a good bit of work to do but I think she's gonna look good when she's done! Thanks for looking and let me know what ya'll think!

I checked Scale dreams and saw the PE ones but I was hoping for some with the calipers to for the extra detail. The wheels are 23" so I want some that look proportionately right. They are for a Dodge Ram VTS "Muscle Truck"

I'm looking for a set of 4 drilled big rotors with the calipers for a muscle truck build I'm doing. Does anyone here have anyone they'd recommend?

I got a GMC Vandura in Forza 4 and painted "FREE CANDY" on the sides.................. I got my account suspended for a week lol.

I know this forum is probably quite a burden at times and I am thankful for it every single day! That's why I wouldn't mind becoming a mod sometime.

Need to find a Shelby Hood
Patrick2005 replied to Patrick2005's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I'm trying to find the whole hood because the stock hood has the scoops in it and I think it would look weird with both
