  4. Is there a site for making scale license plates for places outside of the US? I know you can go to ACME for ones within the US, but I need to make two from Cuba. Anyone able to shed some light on this for me?
  5. Does anyone know if there is a conversion anywhere to make any of the '57 Bel Air's into 4-doors? I am trying to build a replica of my boss' and havent been able to find anything yet. 16. This is my entry for the contest. It has a twin turbo (thanks Shucky!!) Ardun 429 V8 from the Revel F-1 Ford pickup. The paint it Tamiya orange on top and Tamiya gunship grey on the bottom. This was my first paint job that I polished out, thanks a ton for all of the help from the guys on here!!! Let me know what you think, I am entered into the "skilled" class for the contest. Thanks, Justin
  17. I talked my girlfriend into entering a model into the contest. It was only her second model ever and I think it turned out great. Let her know what you think.
  18. Thanks for all the help guys! I did wet sand it with the 2000 grit. Then polished it with 3M polishing compound & scratch remover with a very soft old shirt. Then waxed with carnuaba wax and a micro fiber cloth. I now have a couple things to try to see if I can make this come together. Thanks for all the help and I will let ya'll know how it goes. Justin
  19. Hello everyone, I am in the final stages of finishing my entry for the GearZ contest and I have a polishing question. I have painted and cleared the car with three coats of each. I then wet sanded it with 2000 grit sandpaper, followed by 3M rubbing conpond and then finally wax. It doesnt have the shine that all of the models do hre on the site. What am i doing wrong? Am I forgeting a step? It is sort of shiney but I can still see lots of fine scatches in the paint. How manytimes are you supposed to rub the car down with rubbing compound before it has that mirror finish I am after? Also, am doing this all by hand if that makes difference. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, Justin
  20. Nice job Virgil. I dont believe I've seen a car like that before, are there parts from more than one car?
  21. Thnks for the comments guys! Jason: The tahoe is a diecast from Welly. Black Tahoe
  22. Just finished these up yesterday. I am going to build a diorama with them and a "bad guy" for my local Troop here in Monroe, NC. The tahoe is fom Welly that I removed the markings rom and used a set of decals from another Lindberg NC Charger. Let me know what you think of them, Justin
