  1. Welcome Jason, I know a lot of you guys in Philly, from Uncle Bobby to Ariel Hernandez, real cool bunch of "Charlatanes", Ariel will translate..... Hope to hear more from you and your projects
  2. Nice job crispy, I will be buying mine soon and will be waiting for a detail set to do just that, SET IT OFF  Nice clean work......
  3. The only thing on my mind for the use of your project is the new Revell Choppers, perfect to build a nice truck to haul it, very imaginative on your part, I wish I had the talent to scratch build.....
  4. Nice job man, like Jay says, if you can photograph it in another setting that car will really stand out, love the color you chose too......
  5. Hey ajay, I already have made a decision on my next build and you are making it hard for me to decide......... Like Ismael says, these cars are very popular in Puerto Rico and I have 2 of them in my collection. Hopefully I can stay with my decision but this is coming out very nice man, keep up the good work and most of all the progress and pictures for us to enjoy
  6. Love the color and everything you did to the engine bay, very busy in there......

  8. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...6/dscn0006.html Hey my friend, here is mine... I used Tamiyas' Mica Blue paint on it and I think it looks very close to the color used by the 1/1 car. Used different tires and rims, don't remember from which kits since I had them hidden in a small bin for the longest. I decided to Alclad the velocity stacks with chrome after cleaning them up and drilling them and also Alcladed the headers and other suspension parts. Just browse through the pictures of the meeting and you will see a bit more of it. Hope this helps.....
  9. Like always, nice work Irv, loved your models at the PA show, you have to post that black and sinister beauty for all these guys to see, casket and all........
  10. Yeah my friend, it is a nice kit and I just might try building another one perhaps with the striped decals it brings.......
  11. Hey Loquillo, nice to see you around here man, you know where to find me.........
  12. http://public.fotki.com/MODELCITIZEN/super...r/dsc00313.html Hope you guys like it..... It wears a House of Kolors Lime Gold paint, I just wish the picture could have showed more of the Gold shade in it, probably the lighting was a little off.......
  13. Good luck Barbo, I am sure it will be a success.........
  14. Hey, with the way this Shapiro kid builds I see him as president very soon! Congratulations to our Godfather Norman Veber, couldn't imagine going to these meetings without him being there, we love you Norm.......
  15. Hey bro, are you far from York, we have a great club there, love to see new members. Central PA model car club 8)
  16. Hey Dave, why not try the Tamiya X-22 clear and airbrush it since you are handy with the airbrush? You saw how nice Bill Geary's brown car came out with that clear. I tried it on a hood of a mini cooper and Bill saw it so I think it would be the best way to go. Personally I think Future is a little to thick and even though you might be able to thin it I still say it should be kept for what it was meant to do, floors....... :?
  17. Hey brother, personally I have not had any problems with that line of paints and I can guarantee you is not the paint. What type or brand of primer are you using? Are you giving your primer enough time to dry? Personally I like to give my primers 24 hours for drying. Are you misting your first coats? It could be a million reasons but don't put it away, sand it and restart bro, you might have better luck the next time around. Good luck....
  18. Love it man, nice color and interior, these models never dissapoint with the million ways of being able to build them
  19. It's not how old you are, is how much longer will we be able to build these models with these old eyes and shaky hands  44 years young! :?
  20. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...3/dscn2956.html I love those woodies too man!
  21. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...6/dscn0006.html Hey Slotbaker, this is why I love Alclad, when you get used to it the results are great!
  22. That's what I have, a crescendo too. I shoot my alclad at 12 psi with the big tip. I don't worry much about tip size but about pressure and a very glossy wet coat for the black. I make sure that the paint is very warm before I shoot it and I always put at least 4 coats before I shoot the Alclad. I make sure that the paint is dry 24 hours before alclading, I think it works best but mainly because after 10 minutes of shooting the alclad I take a flannel cloth and kind of polish it lightly, I love the results.
  23. One must be blind not to see the potential!, If you can't find ideas just send it over OK!
  24. Sweeeeet!, creatively nice and old school look! 8)
