Yes guys, it's a little closer to this color. I also decided not to put the side decal in place because I think it's a little out of scale. It should be a lot thinner as seen on this real one.....

Hi there my fellow glue sniffers, hope all is well. Just finished this ugly thing and wanted to share it with you all. Kit builds well until you mate the chassis to the body so make sure you glue everything well and strong, you will regret it if you don't. Other than that, it truly is a fun kit to build and simulates the real one well. Pictures still don't show the true color but it's close enough. Color is MCW Finishes Frost Green Metallic and I used MCW Finishes Medium Green Poly for the interior, both factory colors. The interior was treated with a few aftermarket goodies including embossing powder rugs and a Hurst shifter from Detail Master. I also added seat belts with photo etch hardware. The engine was wired and plumbed and treated with a few other minor details. The Holley carburetor is from Fireball Modelworks. After the addition of the molding from Evergreen that separates the roof from the body, used MCW Finishes texture paint to simulate the vinyl top. I couldn't acquire the factory color for the roof from MCW or anyone else for that matter so I decided to match the real color by using Tamiya Nato Green on top of the black textured paint. I think it's the best match for this. Wheels and Tires are from one of the AMT wheel and tire packs. Hope you guys like this thing......

Thank you fellas, really appreciate all of your comments............. -
Okay fellas, managed to get this done today. Lots of detail on this one from Fireball Modelworks: Front early Bronco grille “plain version” 1966-70 turn signals. Early Bronco tubular front bumper (high winch mount) 9600lb winch kit Early Bronco tubular family roll bar. Early Bronco rear tube bumper with tire carrier. 1st generation Bronco exterior décor set (Bronco scripts). Spare tire cover. Holley carburetor. 48” Farm Jack. 1st generation Bronco 2” lift kit. BF Goodrich tires. 15 x 8.5 MT Classic III wheels. Additional details include metal muffler tips, Detail Master Piston grip for the stick shift, heater hoses, RB Motion fittings and braided fuel line, carpeting, Puerto Rico license plate, Detail Master Tachometer, Replicas and Miniatures valve covers, wired distributor with spark plug boots, front seats were taken from the Revell 2013 Mustang 302 kit, Detail Master racing harness photo etch set and different steering wheel from my parts box. There are other small photo etch details as well. Body color is decanted Tamiya Silver Leaf with Testors Wet Look Clear. Certainly a fun build!

Thanks Jeff, I need to go by there some time, believe me, I miss all you misfits as well..... -
Used the Fireball Modelworks 250 Conversion and Upgrade resin kit to complete this one. Also used the Flareside resin bed from Fireball. I would say that the kit is 75% resin. Rear view mirrors, Swamper tires and wheels are from Fireball as well. Wheels and rear view mirrors were airbrushed with Molotow Chrome. Modified a little of the interior with aftermarket steering wheel and bent hypodermic needles for the shifters. Had a lot of fun building this one!

I don't see how you can have issues in FB, I belong to both FB groups and this wonderful forum and have never had issues with neither. There is talent on both sides of the spectrum so that shouldn't even be an argument. I truly don't see a difference between both but hey, to each his own, gotta respect opinions.....

This was very sudden, surprised a lot of people....... -
Tamiya tape and a lot of burnishing. Paint was airbrushed in light coats until getting complete coverage. Clear was added later.....
-
Yes, one of the main reasons being that a lot of us are already screaming for a factory stock type version.
-
Wanted to do something a little different than the norm, just hoping that at some point, Tamiya offers a Factory Stock version, preferably a Shelby GT 500. Paint is Tamiya Metallic Blue, Tamiya Pure White for the stripes and Testors Wet Look Clear. This kit is so well engineered that it might just go together if you shake the box just right. Hope you guys like it.....

This was more of an experiment to test the Color Shot Paints sold at The Home Depot. They have a pretty good selection of colors so take some time off and check them out. Can't promise they will be available at every Home Depot but I am positive that you will be able to acquire them on line. These are durable paints including the primer so go ahead and use them, I think you will like them. I used Testors Wet Look Clear but I am positive that they will work with the clear of your choice. As usual, make sure your foundation is clean and that you address any issues on the bare plastic first, 90% of the problems with some finishes are found there.....

Thank you guys, I truly enjoyed this build, Joseph’s resin conversion and upgrade kit is really phenomenal and gives this truck a very realistic look... -
That is Testors flat black with just a tad of clear added to it....
-
Yes, it's actually a decal supplied in the kit. Should've left it off but the real ones did have the defroster lines at the rear.....

Thank you Sam, yes, the hood was slightly warped but I had two other kits in which the hoods were fine and I used one of them. -
Thank you, I had to buy this kit to be able to complete this build as close as possible to the one in the movie. Front clip is from the newly tooled 1969 Mustang 302. All the info is in the article.....
