  1. In the pics of the 2 cars doing wheelies , what looks like rear driveshaft loops are really fromt mounts for the ladder bars /traction bars. Take it from me, the loop should be in front ,alittle behind the u-joint. I have brocken a rear u-joint at a full thottle launch & the drive shaft just falls out on the ground, no problem as long as you have a rev limiter to stop your engine from overreving at the sudden loss of the load. We have also lost the front u joint under a full thottle launch, with front tires in the air, did not pole vault the car but the driveshaft came right through the floorboard of the car , could have killed the driver, but it missed him. It caused ALOT of damage , all the inside Aluminum tin work had to be replaced, along with most of the front tube chassis /suspension. I really belive that under full thottle, with the weight of the car off the nose, cosidering todays strong drivshfts, it would be very possible to pole vault a car if the front u-joint were th break. I now have a loop at the front & rear , plus my ladder bar mounts, running uner the drivshafts on both of my Camaros.

  2. Here is a small pic Chuck. The AMT 1971 Mustang is the same basic kit, they just changed a few parts. Mainly hood & scoop, front bumper, grill , left out the front spoiler. The AMT 1971 kit Blue & slver car on box, was made from the MPC tool. The AMT 1973 Mustang , yellow car on box was AMT`s tooling. I would like to see someone cast the parts to turn the 71 kit back to the Minuteman . That would be hood & scoop, front spoiler, grill & front bumper. The later AMT 71 Mustang has the body color moulded in style front bumper

  3. I personaly have gotten everthing I ever ordered from Lookout/Dencon - I have always found Matt to be good to work with. Not so with all casters. First resin I ever bought- over 15 years ago- still havn`t gotten it. That caster is now out of buissness. Just out that $45. I bought some items from another caster on Ebay , after a few good transactions, I placed on order with him directly, about 2 years ago. Still waiting ,we kept in email contact for awhile, always some reason. I have always been polite, but he just won`t reply to my emails anymore. Quess he needed my $20 more than I did. While that caster has alot of things I would buy - he won`t get another penny from me until I get my item.

My point is , it would be nice if we had a place where we could post the results of our transactions, that way we could read other peoples expereances, and decide if we want to order from them or not.

  4. Thanks for the pictures guys, lot of good stuff there . I`m was tring to decide what way to build mine. Decided to pick up a couple more & build all the versions. As far as the Hemi fitting under the Streamliners hood, Didn`t AMT`s 53 Ford pickup have a fuel injection setup for it`s optional Hemi engine ?

  5. Has anyone biult the streamliner dragster from AMT`s double dragster kit ? I am wondering if any of the hemi options will fit under the engine cover or do you have to use the chevy engine ?

I would also like to see some pics of any dragsters you guys have biult from the double dragster kit.

    Thanks,

  6. chris i would do like kevin says, send them an email and hopefully they will send you one. as far as the IH 4300 kit it is a very nice kit to biuld but there is an issue with th efront axle fitting properly, you ned to prefit the cab and hood before you set the axle that way you can line it up where it needs to be. have fun with this kit , it is a nice truck to biuld. :D:lol::D
