Those are Shabo Dry transfer letters on the tires.

'72 Olds 442 finished in HOK Cocoa Pearl
Our club is having a theme night of Oldsmobiles on Tuesday so I cranked this one out to beat Tom Kren (lol). The paint is HOK Cocoa Pearl with a Urethane clear coat. The interior is painted with Tamiya acrylic buff with some clear gloss mixed in to give it a little bit of sheen. The only departures from box stock are the shabo tire decals and some flocking.

    AMT Plymouth Prowler
This the AMT Plymouth Prowler kit. The paint is a 2 stage Lamborghini Murcielago color of yellow pearl from Cobra Colors with an Omni Urethane clearcoat. I built the kit box stock with the only deviation being flocking on the interior.

    Take care, James

Oh BTW: This is NOT the snap kit, but the 130+ parts one. What a PITA!

    Finished a Nissan 350 Z today
    Hey all,
Another quickie build off of the bench. The color is Lemans Sunset Metallic from Cobra Colors. I put 2 coats of Urethane clear on this car and did not polish it at all. It came out that nice right out of the airbrush. I used some Go Mango paint over a white base for the seats. As always, comments are always welcome.

I wish that I had taken pictures of the two cars that I did paint in black primer with 2 coats of urethane clear coat. They were the 61 Impala and 64 Plymouth that I built for Lindberg models. They were both on display at the Chicago hobby show. My technique (learned from master painter Steve Goldman) is to lay just enough paint to get an even color coat and then brighten it up with clear. I don't do wet coats of color at all. AND, if you lay the clear well enough, you don't even have to polish it! Look at my 58 Corvette. No polish at all, just straight up clear. I am finishing up a Nissan 350Z and will be posting pic's in a day or two that is not polished at all and is miles deep with 2 coats of Urethane.

PS: Steve, do you want to chime in on this one?

    Monogram 58 Vette
Hey all, I had to change my username from James Tester to Moparbuilder (I hope you all understand ha ha).

This is the Pro-Modeler version of the 1958 Corvette. I used some Cobra Colors GM Flame red paint I had laying around on the body and interior. The body was covered with 2 coats of PPG Urethane clear and the interior is bare lacquer color. I built this car box stock and tried to focus on the basics. Let me know what you all think.
