The next model contest in the area, after Automobilia's is the KKOA show in Salina, Kansas on July 28. If you have never been there, this is a great three day car show, and your model registration fee gets you and one other in the show for all three days. There are usually around 2,000 to 3,000 cars to look at, plus all the big names in the custom car world usually attend. The mdoel contest is judged by these folk, so the trophies are even more special, as they sign them. The weather may be hot, but the cars are cool, so come out for a great time.
Wow, no one has posted here since Feb. For all the people in the Wichita, Kansas area, our meetings are the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM. The meetings are held in the back room of Automobilia, 449 N. Mosley, Wichita, Kansas. There are exceptions to this, such as today we are having the meeting one week earlier, due to the Automobilia Moonlight Madness Car Show and Model Contest being next week on the 14th. Please feel free to come to the meetings and have a good time with fellow modelers.
Our next meeting is 11 Feb 2012. We will be doing final discussion about the Park City Chill Car/Model show. If you are a member of the model club, we really need volunteers for the model contest. If you are interested in the model contest or car show, go to www.bartellproductions.com and check it out.
The next meeting is Dec. 10 at 1:00 PM. We will be talking about the model contests coming up at the Starbird/Devlin show in Jan. and the Chill show in Feb. We need as many people there, so we can decide on the classes. I have seven classes in mind for the Starbird/Devlin show.
Well, Jeremiah, come on down to Automobilia next Saturday, November, 12. Dues are $1.00 per rmonth. Sorry we don't get much posted here. I don't usually come on the forum. I mainly do yahoo groups. I guess I should start a yahoo group for the model club.
Since I don't see how to start a new topic, I will post this here. Instead of the Sept 10 meeting, we will meet at Atuomobilia and carpool to Hutchinson to meet Dennis Hayden's son Mike. Mike has agreed to let the club look over Dennis' collection and buy what we want. We will meet at 1:00 pm and get to Hutch between 2:00 and 2:30 PM. I hope everyone can make it.
Hi everybody. I am new to the MCM forum, but not new to Snowball. I participated in the MCL Snowball project (I made the windows, since I thought that was all I could contribute at the time) and I would be interested in participating in the MCM version of this build off. I will try my hand at something other than just making the windows, this time. Not sure what I can contribute, but I will give it my best.
