  1. Hey I finally got started on this today! I made a lot of head way and really fast. I got the bulk of the parts painted and the body. Sorry for the bad pics. I had to use my phone due to the fact that my daughter has needed my good camera for a school project. I will get better pictures soon. I used Banner Red for the color as I think it looks close to the color of the car in the movie. I used the Chrome for the silver panel as it comes out metallic silver not chrome. Next up a lot of BMF. So here is the start of Christine!
  2. There has only been ONE time this topic has made me madder than a shaken hornets nest. in 2005 I went to the Seattle Roadster Show ( Kinda like the World of Wheels ). I saw a Corvette in the show that I had just saw on PINKS tv show. The guy acted like he did all the work and on TV the Vette popped the engine and lost so it was given to the guy that had it at the show. I was talking about the show and the owner approched me and mumbled something that I couldn't understand and I told him where to go. He should have given credit and not acted like the whole car was his creation.
  3. Cool basket case! Paddy Wagon motor? Neat truck.
  4. Ok, after seeing this one and a few others I need to get this one! Nice job and love the color combo! I like the trailer too. Great job!
  5. Nice Challenger. The color combo looks nice with the white interior and the white stripe. I like the color matched shaker too.
  6. I like it! This is a cool Ferrari style and you did a nice job on it. The PE helps it pop. Makes me want one
  7. Thanks to Everyone for the comments. It means a lot to me. I'm glad you guys liked it. Here is a pic from the meeting with some styrene added to the engine compartment to block off that big gap. It was a great suggestion Peter L.
  8. Hey Johnny I think I have the emblem. I'll look tonight. I had to work so I taped the football game I wanted to watch and I'll look after
  9. I finally found a way to keep mine out of the loft but here she is. This is Daisy. I adopted her as she was left over from a mothers day sale and nobody wanted a 3 year old cat. She was fat and lazy but now she active and happy.
  10. I won these at our once a year auction for Moonlight Modelers. 1/16 Petty Nascar and 2 - 1/43 scale rally cars. I want to try my hand at some different scales. The only thing I wanted and did not get was a Pikes Peak shirt to go with a hat I got from our club prez a little while back. Oh well I'm happy Here is a pic of the meeting too for Nifty Fifties.
  11. The newer Magnum Wagon? I want one of those guitars! Nice trophy collection here. I just got a couple kits that have some.
  12. I don't know why but I get a kick out of these "eye" kits. I need to find one. I see your new here and with a name like that I hope to see some bike builds as they are welcome here too I have 4 on the bench and a few guys here make killer ones. Neat Eye and look forward to more.
  13. Thank you for the comments everyone. I appreciate it. Peter, I think I'm going to do that as it's really bugging me. I think I'm going to cut some styrene and even seal the small gap above the coil. It's been eating at me when I left the post and went to the store. David , Nice truck! I do think with a few more things like hub caps and such this kit could be built stock. Maybe an inline 6 engine? More BMF would help a stock look. This one here was originally going to look like the wild one here in the following picture minus the company name but I didn't have time. So I went semi-custom Here is the box to so you guys know which one can be almost stock. The kit came with interior door panels and some not so good hinges but the body was sealed and needed to be opened.
  14. Thanks Everyone for your comments. It's done and moved now. Hope you like it
  15. Hey guys and gals. I'm calling this one done now. It's not the over board hot rod I set out to do but I'm kinda glad I did it this way. I actually need to re-route the exhaust and do some touch up on the bottom but nobody is going to see that anyway. This kit had really bad mold lines that made me have to do A lot of body work. That led to a good side and a bad side of the finished car cause I was impatient. I did do a few things to it though and like the overall car. Paint is Duplicolor Truck/Van&Suv T148 Dark Blue. Enjoy! Few Extras: 1. Opened the doors up with an X-acto 2. Wing windows are made from toy packaging 3. Detail master and bead wire for engine detail 4. Resin Accel performance coil 5. Clean window look but BMF on interior including trim on the wood floor.
  16. @ Rodney: Yeah it's about that size @Blake: I got this on clearnece at hobby lobby for I think $12 @Robert: Yeah I've been doing some research and I am afraid of the landing gear too I would like a bigger one of these so I can detail the hellfire missles. Maybe I'll get back to work on this thing this weekend. I forgot all about it
  17. Hey Gil, I was wondering what you were up to these days. Nice Chevelle and the color combo/stance are great! Hope to see you and it back at DSC
  18. Cool wagon! I might have to make on of these now Looks like it was released this way.
  19. From one hearse fan to another, This is coming along great. I also know how much body work your doing and your patience looks like it paid off well. Nice so far!
  20. Thank you everyone for the comments! Here is a small update. The car is actually together now with the interior done. I hope to get better pictures soon as I couldnt get good light tonight. I have a few exterior things to finish and some touch up paint. This time around the doors are actually done and not taped in The passenger door hangs down which stinks. I need to learn hinges as the ones in this kit are not friendly but for my first one with open doors, I'm happy.
  21. Wow very cool flower cars! Here is one of my favorite newer trucks. Nothing to fancy but a Bee Dodge and one beat up projects Monte Carlo that belongs to a friend of mine I haven't seen in 11 years and was able to see on New Years. Factory T-top car too. I wish it was in better shape. Also I found a nice Mustang drafting a U-Haul.
  22. Here is an update on this one. After a LOT of body work to get rid of seams and mold lines, I finally got some paint on it. There is a spot on the passenger side I'm not happy with but I'm in a time crunch so it will have to do.......
  23. Looks like the Jeep in the middle of the road at 5:42 has some blame too. That red Ford truck and the White Superduty both would have made it if they didn't have to turn around the Jeep. Thats when the White Superduty lost its momentum. That stinks for everyone involved.
  24. A superior build. I went back through every post and all I can say is this is am amazing truck from an amazing builder. Fantastic build!
