  1. I have been gone a while from this forum, long story short all of my hobbies except for my basic tools got lost in a move. This kit was the only one that showed up to my new home because it was in a regular plain box that I had packed with my families clothes. My comeback to the hobby will be a rat rod vw. I thought that I would do this mainly because I do have some paint left over mostly flat, and that weathered vehicles look a lot more realistic than show cars. We will see what happens, this is where I am right now. Have put in a few months to get to this point.
  2. I use future to attach stuff to my builds. Great clear coat but it also lets you attach other items to your builds. A couple more coats and the edges of the images disappear.
  3. Nice I can see a few things I would use them for already.
  4. a bunch of specialty cutters and dotting tools for various scratch building!!!
  5. very amazing selection as well. the braided stuff is amazingly realistic as well.
  6. I also use the little brass looking thing that is on the wire for engine pulleys.
  7. You are so right on searching the site for a particular subject and even thou there are threads on that certain subject your search does not always get you there!!!
  8. This has to be the cleanest build I have seen in years for a semi, detail is amazing.
  9. Awesome idea thanks for sharing....
  10. I really like the tiny ones that they have at Michael's, they come in great when you do not need a lot of clamping pressure to attach smaller projects.....
  11. Awesome idea, will try this out for sure..... Thanks for sharing...
  12. thank you for sharing, would also be amazing for motorcycle/chopper wheels too!!! will be trying this out as soon as possible.
  13. Super sweet tutorial. really love tutorials like this. thank you for sharing.....
  14. I love scrounging around for everyday items for model building. Years ago I had a large projection tv take a dump. Took out all the guts and have a lifetime of wires and do dads. Right after that I used a lot of those items to super detail my mpc/amt snow speeder. The possibilities are endless....
  15. That is me, my apple phones always goes thru the charging cables, as slow as I build mine will last a lifetime....
  16. I think you may be right, I have seen it done for just regular car springs, I will give that a try the next time I make some. At least they will have the interval between the spring itself. The way I have done it I have to pull the wound wire apart to look more like a spring, which does not have a uniform look to it every time.
  17. Not a problem at all. Its not very detailed video, but gives a pretty good idea how to go about making some. I am working on making a better video, just not sure when they will come out.
  18. Wow, what a build, I really like it, great idea......
  19. That is cool, never thought about using it for masking....
  20. I do that quite often, great idea. Best thing its free, and keeps some of the junk out of the land fill. Just a little bit.....
