  1. It almost looks translucent in a way ~ I like the way it turned out
  2. I like them all but that caddy really stands out... it deserves another vote
  3. Hey guys (and girls)... just a quick update to what I've been doing lately. Actually, there hasn't been too much going on with this old model restore thing, it's sitting on a speaker right now collecting dust. I haven't touched it in a while but still plan to finish it ~ just need to get my life back in order. Life has a way to get in the way of things, haha. Anyway, I'm still here... for those of you who were interested in this build. Depression sort of sucks
  4. Thanks Tony... the BMF kind of frustrates me, I know it doesn't stick any more but I still try to use it Haven't tried shopping online for a new batch yet, but seeing how none of my LHS's have it in stock I might have to ~ it will just take some time.
  5. Thanks for the comments! I'm still looking for new BMF but it seems to be evading me... the hobby stores around here say they quit selling it, along with many of their model accessories But I did manage to buy a couple bottles of paint, lol. I just needed to buy something... not that I needed it
  6. looks good! Great job on those tail lights too... they were quite a challenge to finish (and make them look right) for me.
  7. Looks great! The satin look seems to take away from the beauty of the build... but I'm not going to complain The lack of gloss paint makes it easier to hide from the police.
  8. Is that the "Heavy Chevy" kit? lol, I built two of these in the past... none of them survived Do you charge extra for getting the 'shine here faster?
  9. I like the four seat concept ~ it's looking good, keep it up!
  10. That's going to look sweet when it's finished ~ good luck with all your ideas
  11. Coming along nice ~ I like those custom mirrors
  12. Can't go wrong here... I love those '70 Mustangs ~ Keep up the good work!
  13. That's some crazy detailing Amazing work!
  14. That's a beautiful shade of red... the wheels are perfect for the car. Great job!
  15. That paint looks amazing! The car looks killer! Yum
  16. All smiles here That's a fantastic looking build!
  17. Looks great! She might be worth saving
  18. Wow... for an old rust bucket, this one really shines!
  19. That's a mean looking machine... the semi gloss paint looks perfect for the car
  20. Sharp looking build, I like the interior
  21. That's cool... I saw two of these sitting at a local garage for sale, wish I stopped in to check them out ~ they were gone within a week.
  22. Thanks Jamie, I was thinking the same thing... I was able to do some work during the weekend, nothing major... just painted the front end and added the headlights. Still needs cleaned up and a few little details but here's the progress. I ran out of masking tape, the only tape I had on hand was electrical tape The paint is satin nickel, I painted it silver first but figured it was too bright a color when compairing it to the reference photos. I then painted the headlight area flat black, used pins for the headlight bulbs and put them in place... I'll be using clear nail polish for the lenses. Also painted the trim around the grill red, still need to add the chrome around the headlights and grill... but right now I don't have any BMF and the metal duct tape I was using for the window trim is much too thick. Here it is with the hood and bumber You can see where I need to clean it up but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Thanks for looking!
  23. It's good to see this one finished... Now I can look forward to your next build
