  1. And finally a few AMC's. Both of these started as a few built ups I bought off ebay to restore. 1971 Javelin AMX. Johan restore/rebuild. 1972 Javelin AMX. Johan restore/rebuild.
  2. Now on to some Mopars, My favorite subject matter. Revell 1968 Hemi Dart. Slix decals and resin seats were added alond with some corrections. Revell 1970 AAR Cuda. This is the 1995 issue that I did then. I tore it apart for a repaint, new decals and foil. 1970 Sox & Martin Cuda, Johan 71 Cuda with Reliable Resin Conversion and Slixx decals. 1970 Superbird. Revell kit mostly out of the box but with Keith Marks decals and wheels from the 71 GTX kit. 1971 Sox & Martin Cuda, Johan kit with Slixx decals. 1973 GTX, this is a kitbash with the AMT 71 Charger chassis and engine and Keith Marks decals.
  3. Now for some Fords. Here is a 1925 Model T truck. This was built box stock from the recent AMT kit. This was a quick build. This is another quick build I did. This on is the Gunze Pantera GT5. 1925 Ford Model T AMT Tall T kit 1965 Thunderbird. This is an AMT annual that I restored. 1970 Boss 429 built right out of the box.
  4. In the last year I managed to get many builds done this year. Most have not been posted before and I'm sorry that I havn't been sharing them. I have kept myself buist this year working on the 1:1 Chevelle and building these. I managed to get eighteen done this year. That makes it one of my better years for completing builds. Notice that I didn't count all the started ones. I'll start with the Corvette's I did this year. Here is my 2004 Corvette Z06 Commemerative edition built box stock. Here is my 2006 Corvette Z06 built mostly out of the box. I switched the interior tub with the ZR1 to correct the dry sump oil tank in place of the incorrect battery. Here is my 2010 ZR1 convertible. This was the original body with the top cut off and a resin boot put in it's place. I went with a vintage racer theme with this one. Here is my 1967 Camaro Pace Car. This was built from the AMT Z/28 kit. And one last Chevy. 1969 Yenko Nova. This was built from the Revell kit but I did some corrections on it.
  5. The kit that is 250 Buy it now is listed with the promo's. That will limit how many see it.
  6. Thanks. I'm looking foward to seeing yours. That should work out real nice. I have another Charger 500 that I started by grafting the Revell 69 Charger front end onto the Revell 69 Daytona body.
  7. I also have both of the issues. I built the reissue and it has the wrong hood. It has the Daytona hood. The MPC kit has the correct 69 Charger hood. Also the original has 500 on the tail panel but it is shallow. Also the reissue's box are has the 69 GTX chassis under it but it's not in the box. I'm sure it will fit fine under the MPC body as I have done that many times just not with this kit yet. Here is one I built right out of the box of the reissue. This is after lot's of work and adding wheel opening moldings. They are missing on the front wheels. Also the wheels and tires came from my parts box.
  8. Never had anything like that happen in my wagon. But I have snapped two axles and three driveshafts!!
  9. I built this one 20- 25 years ago when it was the only 69 Daytona offered. It may not be the best kit but building it will improve your modeling skills. The Revell kit is awesome I agree but lets not discourage someone from building the kit if they allready have it. BTW here is my 69 Charger 500 too. Both of these are built box stock.
  10. Marc, I would love to see pics of it. Mostly the body, hood and interior tub. I know the promo has a different interior than my 68 kit and the promo body has emblems in different places and a different hood that the 68.
  11. Thanks but that is a 69 AMX. The AMX was shorter than the Javelin from 68-70. After 70 the AMX was an option on the Javelin. Here are some pics of some resin 70's I have for comparison. Here are some pics of resin 70 AMX. This is from Missing Link. And here is a resin 70 Javelin. This is from Decon.
  12. That is my question. I know Johan did a 68 Javelin kit that was stock, custom and funny car. I have a mint kit of one. I also know that a 70 Javelin kit was also offered that way. What I want to know is if Johan offered a 69 Javelin the same way. I want one to build one stock someday. I know Johan did do a promo of a 69.
  13. For me it would be: 2010 Shelby GT500 1/25 Corvette ZR1 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG 53 Hudson 69 Copo Nova 66 Batmobile 66 Chevy SS396 (Impala) 69 Camaro convertible AMT Tall T
  14. Here are a few of my 69's, all of these were built in the early 90's. All three will be replaced with new builds that I havn't done yet.
  15. Here is my 67 Z/28 Here is my 68 Z/28 Here is my 67 Pace Car conv built from the 67 Z/28 kit.
  16. I was joking, but I did enjoy the history lessons.
  17. What no Plymouth Hemis? I know, I know they didn't get any Hemi's the first time around.
  18. Looking good so far. What are you doing about the rear bumper and tail lights? Are you sticking with the 70's rear bumper? Or are you scratchbuilding a 71 bumper to fit this Revell kit?
  19. Yeah, They are out of buisness. I bought that one above back in 2001, I think. I wish they were still around as they had some nice muscle cars. They also did a 69/70 Shelby convertible and a 68 Mustang California Special. I have both of those but the one I waited too long on was a 68 Cougar GTE.
  20. I agree with George 53 and MrObbsesive. Cutting the roof and deck almost to the spoiler is the way to go! Here is a pic of an Eleanor Mustang that I did just that with. Also in the backround is my resin 68 GT500KR. That one is a resin body from Mini Exotics.
  21. It's very nice and I will mostlikly buy one. It seams that it is missing the ridge that goes down the center of the trunk. The Revell 58 and 59's are very nice. I have a few of them along with both the resin 61 and 62 transkits from Historic Racing Miniatures. They are very nice and the trunks are open just like the 58 and 59 kits.
  22. That is not bad!! I just painted my car and the basecoat was $815 a gallon and the clear was $400 a gallon. I wonder how much those glass bottles cost x 256? Glass isn't cheep and those bottles use alot of it for what they hold.
  23. I would like to kitbash it with the 2010 GT500 that is now out.
  24. I'm excited about the 32 ford and the 62 Vette. It is no surprise since I just got the Historic Racing Miniatures 62 transkit for the Monogram 59 kit. Also the Monogram 59 kit has a hardtop in it and the 58 Promodeler has a soft top uptop in it. The rear glass may be leftover from the 59 kit. I also just remembered that most of the Revell Corvette roadsters have tops. The 53/54 kit has a softop, 57 kit has a hardtop, 67 kit has a softtop and the 68 kit has both tops.
  25. I don't know of many but they did offer an enthusiest series that was full detail. I have a few of the Lamborghini Countach kit's.
