  1. It’s a spray can enamel. I have a purple degreaser I’ll try. Perry
  2. Starting on this Camaro for a friend at work. Wish I had a template for the windshield black surround. Hard to mask or hand paint. I see I will have to re-do the dash. Gauges are black with white numbers. One problem I am having is the paint crazed. I primed as I usually do, the sprayed a light mist of the red and let it dry a little. Then sprayed heavier coats. I've done it like this before and it's been OK. Now I need to strip it. What do you all use to strip paint? Perry
  3. Thank you. I have to post some cars now too. Perry
  4. Here's a Helo I did for my son-in-law that flies them. A CH-53E, Academy kit.
  5. Nice to see these Craig. I have seen his work up close and it is super clean and perfect. Perry
  6. Very nice. Pretty color, kind of a willow green. Perry
  7. Yeah the hood is a bit wonky. I tried to heat and straighten, but didn't want to stress it. It's hard because it's a 73 body and the rest is either 75 or 68 Vette. Still, I'm happy with it, and hope my neighbor will be too. Perry
  8. Scripts and letters and logos are PE. Finished it. Fought me all the way. Perry
  9. Couple update pics. Coming together.
  10. Need the body and hood for this kit. Let me know what you need. Thanks, Perry
  11. Thanks Chris, but the wheels aren’t right. Perry
  12. Looks really nice. Do you work for Schneider? My wife does, and is retiring after 40 years. Perry
  13. I’m looking for either a 95 or 96 Camaro convertible. I think AMT made one. Building a model for a lady at work. Thanks, Perry
  14. I’m not very good at WIP’s because I’m a slow builder. But, I’m working on a Corvette for my neighbor. It’s mostly stock, I’m wiring the engine, PE from MCG, a mix of parts from the AMT 70 LT-1, and MPC 74 convertible. Paint is a Krylon burgundy. It doesn’t show here, but I’m having trouble fitting the hood. It hits the windshield and doesn’t lay in place. Wondering if I should shave some thickness from the hood, or cut some off the windshield? Perry
  15. That looks much better. I'd like to do one of those too. I would put the Rover (BOP) V8 in one. I also do 1/43 scale so there are a lot more LBC's available in that scale. Perry
  16. I too would like a TR 6 kit. I also have a Mimosa Yellow one. I have a 1/18 die cast I’ve taken apart to paint. Need 1/18 scale mini lites for it. Any one know where I can get those? Perry
  17. Saw this over on FChat today. Thought I'd share. I was out at Pebble Beach a few years ago, and though I didn't see this Superamerica, there was a different on I saw. Totally different look. Perry
  18. If you're interested in detail photos, try posting a request on FChat. There are people with amazing knowledge and resources over there. Perry
  19. That is really cool, and well done. I've wondered how these kits look built. Some of the earlier ones were less than 3D it seemed. Kinda flat and featureless. Perry
  20. I've got this Teapot kit as well as a Breadvan trans-kit, a 330 LMB trans-kit, and a Herb Deeks Lancia D50, and a couple other old resin kits. Perry
  21. Nice model. I like that look. I think the pillars you're chroming are C pillars as the B pillar is still in between the doors, just doesn't extend to the roof. I used to bring my building stuff with me on my monthly trips to the U.P. Also rebuilt my TR6 gearbox on a motel room floor in Escanaba once. Perry
  22. Very pretty. Really like the dark blue. It’s a ‘74 with the rubber overrides removed. I’ve had it since ‘77. It’s pretty stock except an S2 cam, higher compression, and SU’s. It’s a dependable driver. That’s my son driving it with his girlfriends son. Perry
  23. Nice garage picture. The Challenger really does make the 6 look tiny. I really like mine.
