    Pacman rod

So hello guys and girls, Ok it's been a while since the last update had some more importent things to do. (sorry to kept you waiting) This week i did a lot of work to the rod i finished the Chassis (only the drive shafts). Fit the body and busy working on the interior. well here some photo's. Painted the wheels with Alclad chroom. Put some Knock off spinners (like the real one had). Mounted the engine and wheels (like i said the axels still has to be fit). Here i,m preparing the louvres for the side intake, this are decals made out of resin ,stranges but worked fine. And the result. I saw the rod had a ghost at the back carpet, so i first draw it then filled it. The interior i used vilt i don't know how you call it in english but it worked out great. This is how far it is at the moment. Still some small details and placing the aluminium plate's and lights then it should be finished. I have a small suprise here for the Rod will show you when it's ready. See you Gr Dirk

    Pacman rod

So hello finally back the kitchen is done Pffff two month's hard work. This means pic up the Pac rod and start building YEAH. Tonight i finished the exhaust it only need some little adjustment but i can do that when the engine is fitted. Now i can start finishing the engine and drive shafts. But first, Working on the body , so i made a air intake (i think thats where the radiator sits)getting the right size was a challange but after some measurements i got it right (i think) put some bondo now the other side and then start sanding. Here the pictures. If you have any questions just ask. Ok see you next time. Gr Dirk

    Pacman rod

Update, I finaly sand the chassis and give it a color. Fit the rear and front suspention. No dryfit now. Even put rings behind the nut Here it is the completed chassis. Put the engine in. Did some work on the driveshaft (from the sparebox) and the steeringhouse. Here i put a piece off styreen rod cos it was to short. And test fitted the driveshaft. Well that's it, now working on the plumbing and brake system O and finally start with the body YESSS. Gr Dirk
  21. Clemens, Nice you make it a black and white and the paint job , it's like what Christopher said "wet sand and some polish will do the trick. Like to see the lightsworking on a video. Maybe a little tut how you made the lights ? will follow this one. Und in Holland wir sagen Auf Wiedersehen (in Holland we say see you) by the way your English is ferry good . Gr Dirk

The chassis is coming along fit the front suspention and finished the rear suspention to Some photo's First draw the suspention struts (i think you call them like this :-/ ? ). It's made from 3 pieces off 0,5mm styreen. Here it's mounted to the frame, still need to do some work to get it right. Finished the right rearsuspention to. Here i put everything together (dryfit) with staples this will be replaced with nut and bolts. And put the engine to see if the rear wheels align with the axels to the gearbox. Everything fit nicely so now just sand the chassis paint it and then put it together. See you next time

    Pacman rod

Hi, Well the chassis is coming along well, first tell you how i made the brake caliper This are brakedisks from an Toyota MR2 model now i only need the calipers (purple arrow). So the disk had to go. (black arrow). Here i put the two parts together the only thing i had to do was making space for the disk. And here the final diskbrake. Also worked on the front four bar link suspension. First drill the holes for the rod ends. Fit the rod ends to the bars. It even have the adjust nuts on it (real small). And there you go the first side (dryfit). Ok now do the other side then i can paint the chassis and fit everything>
  24. Nice project this one, Love the suspension and the interior is a piece of art . O and for the carb i will check out my stash will let you know. Gr Dirk
