Just wanted to get a list of kits still available or discontinued. Resin...plastic or hell die cast. Going through a kick of designing hotrod trucks and came across some sweet antiques I would love to build. Scammells and Leylands. Even domestic US trucks. Basically I would like a comprehensive list of any truck or cab to build a 1:1 truck that was produced before 1960 in scale. Hows about we even throw together a list of donor kits and parts and pieces you guys have found that work. I love classic trucks and am sure other people would love this list. Pics are welcome.

So. We got what I call a "new" K425 Bullnose KW. I based the nose off a UPS truck and the newer Aussie Kenworth. 1948 Federal Conventional with reeferbox decorated in my favorite candy. Lol. 1950 Chevy Cannonball rollaway for my shop when I build it. Haulng a model TT with a Allison Short block. 1950 Chevy Cannonball with polished aluminum Camper body. 1950 Chevy Cannonball wrecker for my shop when I build it. 1948 Pete crewcab 4x4. All except the Federal took about an hour.

Hey thanks I got a design of a modern bullnose version of this truck too. Would like to build both.

Anybody ever produce any or has anyone built any?

I like it. I got an International I rebuilt that my dad mad had done back in the 70's. Factory paint scheme using Brandy wine and Pearl white. Painted some chrome cause it was flaking. It's on here somewhere.

Is there a regular conventional or just the snub nose open top? Was hopingvfor 1/24 or 1/25.

Nice job. I guess that ad is where the inspiration for the Freightliner 1/24 scale remote control car transporter I have came from. Because I believe it has the exact same paint job.

At least it ain't a complete remake. Though Characters are the same. They got Jed as a Marine fresh back from Iraq. North Korea initiating and urban warfare. At the end of the trailer they got a Mustang with a minigun and a humvee. I think it will be sweet. Comes out Thanksgiving.

So, I finally found the tires to use. Brought my Dad's Payhauler cornbinder dump truck and froze it before tearing it apart. So I am going to make molds of the tires and wheels and rear axles to use on my rig. I am going to change the tread pattern a little and see if I can fill the center section of the tire to fit regular truck wheels. This may take beyond our alloted time but I will keep posting as it gets more dome. They are pretty big but I figure madmax/post appoc means using what ever you got so this will be pretty bad ass.

Thats what I thought Chris. Yeah I knew about the Cornbinders and of course the Chevy's, GMCs and Fords. My uncle was going to buy a crew cab GMC pickup but even though they had had the money my aunt said no, lol.

Using that to haul the logs for my log cabin? Looks good.

Picked up this kit for 7 doggies on a local ad website yesterday. Complete but unwrapped. Not sure if it was a good deal but it will be the beginning of the driver's who died collection.
