Letter to all members from Sfangoch
southpier replied to DrKerry's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
mine costs about the same and since it's a central post office, I get UPS, FedX and any other packages. usually the packages are put in a locker and the key tossed into my PO Box. and the lobby/ box access is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. for less than $99 dollars a year, I consider it a bargain. -
Signs of getting old...... at modeling
southpier replied to rel14's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
you're getting old when you forget to clean out the dead rats from behind the refrigerator but simply choose to live in squalor. -

i have good memories of playing with my cousin's American Flyer trains in our grandparent's attic. it can truly be a world apart. i was 4 or 5 and he was 6 years older. the attic was unfinished but we could have cared less. there was a floorboard with a missing knothole and, being boys, we used it for the obvious. years later, my aunt told the story of how many times my uncle painted the ceiling in the hallway below before my cousin finally came clean as to the source of the stain...

Potvin Blower - Why?
southpier replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
anyone have a picture of a potvin blower set up on a flathead? i had one from HAMB, but it wasn't real clear how the manifold was configured. or how it mounted - completely front cover supported or any brackets to the frame? thanks -
