Thanks Jesse
Joe it seams that every time I go to the bench I see or find something else that I can add to it. I think I'm getting close painting it.
-
Clayton if things go good maybe next weekend for the red on the trailer and the cab.
-
Thanks Clayton and JT. Got up before church today and finished up the gussets on the trailer and the tail lights in place on the mud flaps. Going to work on the other ladder.
-
Was able to get a little time on the bench tonight. Built the ladder on the passenger side and started adding the gussets on the trailer.
-
Sean I use a tooth pick soaked in lacquar thinner to remove the paint. A q-tip is to big.
-
Joe I know the feeling and I'm with Fred and Monty on adding some color it will look good with your wiper motor.
-
Steve very nice shine and foil work.
-
Joe your work is incredible. Thanks for the information on making the small wire bends.

Terry, I really like your work on on the dump trucks.
On a side note are you going to the Lake Charles model show next weekend?
-
Jeff thanks for adding part 2. I'm going to have to go over to Hobby Lobby and pick some wire up.
-

Thanks Terry by chance are you going to the Lake Charles model show next Sat.?
Dave thanks and yes the white is the stripe I will be ain't got the rest of the cab red. From the pictures of these cabs they either had a white or red roof sections. I'm not sure yet witch way I'm going to go yet.
Ok JT a and Chris you convinced me to change out the ladders to match the trailer. Working on them now.
I've also noticed that on the trailer that the frame joints have gusset plates on them so Im going add gusset plates on the new joints that I added.

It was a good morning for painting. Sprayed the cab white and cleaned off BMF Dodge letters afterwards before the paint was to hard. Also painted the front bumper chrome and the rear mud flap with misc parts red.
-
Wow great work. Great idea on the telescope and the chain on the mud flaps. What did you end doing to shoehorn you engine in. Did you just modify the firewall ?
-
Jeff nice progress those valve stems look great. Can you explain how you made them?
-

Thanks Jesse, looking to get some more progress this week end. I've got the cab preped for the coat of white paint. The trailer is getting close to being ready for its coat of red to. They are saying that we may get to see the sun this week end.
-
Great build. Take it out side and put it in some dirt with a open foundation with rebar in it and you would not be able to tell it s not real.
-
