Like many,I built when I was young then abandoned the hobby during high school and college. I returned to the hobby in 1985 and have been modeling ever since. My modeling subjects are varied, however, I do find myself coming back to replica stock builds more than any other genre.
Married with two kids, both grown, one out of the house. My wife supports my passion for cars in any scale, including 1/1. I am truly a lucky man.
In addition to modeling, I also like to draw and paint, cars being my preferred subject matter.
My dad worked as a painter for American Motors in Kenosha, WI, then spent the rest of his adult life, right up until his death, as an Auto Body Man. It was through his passion for the full-size automobile that I developed my passion for cars in all scales. I was blessed to be able to experience many old cars first hand through his many purchased vehicles over the years, ('40 Plymouth Coupe, Multiple 55-57 Chevy Hardtops, 41 Chevy Coupe, 49 Willy's Jeepster, 41 Buick Sedanette once owned by Bob Hope, and the list goes on.) His last project was a '40 Dodge Pick-up that I inherited upon his death (my avatar). It's been street rodded and remains a work in progress.
I look forward to following the progress and learning experiences of other modelers through this forum.
