Recently a High School friend of mine's father passed. He was a logger in and around the N.Conway NH, Fryeburg Maine area. I remember my Dad would buy lumber from him every spring & fall for the campground we owned on Kezar Lake in Lovell Me.., needless to say the splitting maul and I became close .. Unfortunately the truck is being sold on, so, as a gift to my friend I'm building her a replica. I have a few pics of it, but this is the best one yet .. If you can steer me in the right direction as to what kit would be best to start with, I think I can handle the rest ! ( famous last words ) I thank you in advance for your time & input ..

I feel you pain, when I lived in Pittsburgh I got robbed.. my X-Box, DVD player DVDs .. my Television , but the one thing they got I can never replace , my Dad's WWII ribbons & medals .. still kills me to this day .. These guys sound like they were at least a little knowledgeable about plastic given the description of the stuff you said they took. Button up tight, if they know you have more ..

The Ram of that year ( the VTS ) is available in resin and plastic. I'm looking for an '02 and up, different body style .. no real way to convert a 1st gen to a 2nd gen, completely different truck ...

So I got this last night, some modelling tools, a great Corsair kit, 2 boxes of Polly Scale paints, some weathering kits ..airbrush bottles .. and some other miscellaneous items .. it's kind of heartbreaking though. I got them from my brother-in-law who was diagnosed with MS 3-4 years ago and he can no longer model. the smells really bother him. But, he did want me to have this stuff. I guess I'll have to build him something really nice .. still, I'll never be able to pick this stuff up without thinking how lucky I am to be able to still build models ..
