  1. Hello folks! It's been a while since I've posted, but here's my Mustang Pace Car I completed back last month. I've wanted to do a pace car for sometime, and finally had time to do it. Paint is factory Ford Pewter poly and flat black with remastered pace car decals from Speedway Decals. He also made the seat patterns for me as well. Power is from a Revell GT500 and a 6 speed. Full airbag suspension gets the car nice and low over Aoshima BBS SS3 wheels, which have been widened in the rear. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it. Thanks for looking! ?
  2. That turned out awesome! I've had one if these kits for years, but this makes me want to build it. Beautiful job.?
  3. When I built my 66 Fairlane, I used the Revell Thunderbolt block, water pump, belt, and 4 speed, the 33 Willys heads, valve covers, and front cover, the AMT Fairlane 427 intake, carbs, and air cleaner. The valve covers were stripped of chrome, and sprayed with Testors Fabric Grey. Then i used the breathers from the AMT 66 Galaxie reissue. The cast header manifolds from the AMT 60 Starliner were modified to fit. Not correct but i wasnt trying to build headers.
  4. I was looking through some parts boxes today, and came across these 3 out of 4 wheels. I have no idea what they are from. They are molded in yellow. The rears are wider than the fronts. They have been painted what looks like Testors Steel. Id like to get a complete set, but have no clue where to start. Thanks for looking!

  6. Hey everyone. I haven't posted anything in a while, because I haven't finished anything in a while lol. But I was fooling around with this kit one evening and thought it would look pretty neat like this. I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but thats what modeling is about. Building things your way. So, this is how i did it. Paint is PPG factory Ford Desert Tan and Light Desert Tan. A scratch built bed floor covers the imaginary suspension and large diameter wheels from a Maisto Pro Rods diecast car. Its just a curbside, but i still had a blast building it. All comments welcome!
  7. Hello everyone. I was thinking about replicating a spray in bed liner in an 89 F150 I'm building. It's far from box stock, as its bed floor has been raised. I was wondering what you guys could think of that I could use. I want the inside of the bed to be matched to the body color. Any ideas would be great!
  8. That is the engine from the Foose Cadillac. The intake is from the AMT 57 Chevy street machine. And the headers are from the Revell 67 Chevelle Pro Street.
  9. I was wondering if there's anybody out there who does custom decal work, in a timely manner. I've got a few things I would like to get done. I haven't had any luck with the Testors decal program and paper. I need them printed on clear decal paper as they will be going on an orange car. Thanks for looking!
  10. Thanks for the comments! I got a few things taken care of on the 55. The 1:1 Has a set of breathers on each valve cover. I used the breathers from the Revell 41 Willys street rod and added them to some quarter round styrene rod to make them. Next is the inner fender wells. Heres the real engine: And here's the 1:25th scale.
  11. Thanks for the comments! I got a little more done in the 55. The 1:1 has its vent windows removed and cowl area shaved. I also started on the mechanical side as well. The engine and transmission are from the Foose Cadillac kit, the intake from the AMT 57 Chevy street machine kit, and an air cleaner from an AMT 68 GT500 thats been shortened and smoothed. Headers are from the Revell 67 Chevelle Pro Street kit, with modified collectors. I hope to have the body in color by the end of the month. The color came from the man himself, Scott Sullivan. He was nice enough to send me a pint of paint from Ohio, so the color will be dead on. As always, all comments are welcome.
  12. Happy New Year everyone. I started on this a while ago. If you grew up in the 80s and were into hot rods and cars in general, then you probably have seen this car! Scott Sullivan built this car in the mid 80s and this is my all time favorite pro street car. That says a lot coming from a Ford guy lol. It won't be an exact replica, but very close. I started with an AMT 55 post kit, and used the Revell 1967 Chevelle pro street chassis and suspension. More to come, and as always, all comments are welcome. First the real car: Now the model:
  13. Hey folks! I got this kit when it first came out and got right to cutting on it. I'm doing it pro touring style, go figure Lol. Power is a mix of a 5 litre Coyote and the front cover, blower, intake, and modified belts from a Revell GT500KR kit, making a roots blown 5.0. Suspension is modified AMT Wagon Rod front and rear. Wheels are from the legend, Steve Zimmerman. Color will be a factory aqua with white and tan interior. All comments are welcome!
  14. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I've been on a steel wheel kick here lately. Lol everybody always asks about the wheels! This coupe has a lot of subtle things done. I'm particularly proud of the engine compartment. The firewall was smoothed and I used thin sheet styrene to cover the original fender aprons. It really cleaned up that part of the car.
  15. Hey everyone. I finished this a few months ago, and like the Fairlane, I finally took some pics of it. Power is a DOHC 96 Cobra motor and a 5 speed. Paint is Testors Root Beer and Wet Look clear. Wheels are Casey's resin steel wheels, painted Tamiya Light Sand to match the interior. Bumpers are from the Modelhaus. Man I miss them! All comments welcome!
  16. I got the interior pretty much finished up today. The 1:1 has all black interior, but it's kinda hard to reallyshow any real detail in my opinion. But I did flock the floor and the hatch area. I sprayed the centers of the front and rear seats with Testors fabric gray and then with flat black to represent the cloth inserts. A Revell LX coupe kit gave up its shifter and armrest, and the shifter ball is from the 2013 Boss 302 kit, then dull coated. I have a 2004 Mach 1 shifter ball in the 1:1.
  17. I got the Testors fabric gray at Hobbytown USA.
  18. Good looking Fairlane. The red with the white rocker stripe really pops! ?
  19. I think I remember the thread on this build. Turned out great! I hope mine looks this good when I'm finished.
  20. You cant go wrong with a teal 93 Cobra. I would trade my GT in a heartbeat for one. Beautiful car.
  21. Thanks everyone for the comments! I know that its not everyone's cup of tea, but I like this style of build. Its different, and I have a hard time trying to build something straight out of the box Lol. There are parts from 7 different kits in this Fairlane, and the resin steel wheels from Casey. Here are the 2 cars that were my inspiration for this build. I love the look of both of these Fairlanes, so there's a little of both. Bobby Alloway built the 67 and Dean's hot rod shop did the 66.
