  1. yeah im not a big fan of chrome rims. just maybe a chrome lip. i have also been thinking about some bbs style rims with a chrome lip but still either blueish or purple
  2. i found this hobby shop a few months ago but everytime i drove past it, it was closed. well i was going to get food and i seen that it was open so i went in to check it out. very small place but i thought there selection was rather nice . i found this integra and got an rsx as well for some other goodies it had to offer. plus all models were 15% off. i spent $27 for both well so far ive been toying around with the idea of putting the k20 in it. its gonna be flat black with a type r lip, wing and civic hatch skirts im not sure on the rim color. either blueish green or purple type r rims
  3. this hasnt been updated in a while so i figure ill bring it back to life. plus i never posted in here before lol. i have a small corner in the garage i work at
  4. well the side skirts are molded on but they are still similar to the eclipse side skirts so i just left them they way they are. same witht he rear bumper. its not exact but close enough. i didnt wanna do anything special to modify the car. the bumper you have on your car is from a 92 or 93 eclipse
  5. looking good my friend. i wish my dog never got ahold of mine and chewed it up
  6. you can buy colored acetate at the dollar store. its like cellophane from cigarette pack. i have some that i plan on using for a model but its red but when using it you can either cut it out and apply it directly to the windows or use t it instead of the windows
  7. thanks for the comments guys ray, i have thought about that but was never really sure how yo do it. i have used the sophisticated finishes rust which is alright but id like to try new things. ill look into it though it sounds interesting. if you would like, send me some info on it in a message i do believe i seen a video on dr crankys youtube channel
  8. so ive seen a few people here and there who do the table salt method when weathering paint. a few nights ago i decided to give a go at it myself. personally i like this method and think it works great. i tried a few different things til i perfected my rusty base coat i used three different colors for my rusty base coat. i used rustoleum flat brown for the base coat the i misted krylon pumpkin orange and krylon ruddy brown primer on top of that and sealed it with a flat clear coat 49 ford club 68 plymouth barracuda they both look better in person. i thought i did well. it was my first time trying it out befroe i do it on a real build comment, suggestions, criticism? its always welcome Brandon
  9. i bought this kit for the motor and some interior pieces but i ended up like the kit and building it. ill get another one lol. so the revell eclipse gsx.... its a decent kit. the interior is pretty much dead on compared to 1:1. the engine imo has some good detail. i had minor fitment issues with the motor but i worked it out. the only thing i didnt really like about this kit was that there was no back seat or stock bumpers. the tires are also a little on the small side. this was built right out of the box. i took the tires from the revell sti to fill the wheel wells out. i chose the 95 eagle talon looking bumper since im not a big fan of body kits. i wanted this to look stock. my inspiration comments and suggestions welcome Brandon
  10. finished a few weeks ago but i only got around to taking pictures today. its a box stock revell kit. i took the low profile tires from a honda. my original plan was to go wingless but i think revell was a little off when making this. the trunk looks really short without the wing. i could have done better but im happy with the outcome. any comments or suggestions are welcome Brandon
  11. good luck on both of these sir. i built one awhile ago and my dog got a hold of it and chewed it up. one of my favorite models i built
  12. looks great. this is one of my favorite kits. id love to get my hands on another one
  13. this is one of my favorite cars. i love what you did to it. i see your from poa and your decals say york. not too far from me sir. im in reading
  14. thanks dave and chuck. helps alot. the amt turbo thing, is this what your talking about? http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/9669/img2797ev7.jpg im not sure where the headers are lol another thing i just notice myself from some pictures, the interior seems to be a little off. the whole center console is incorrect i would still like to get both kits though. heres my old talon
  15. the revell was the all wheel drive gsx with a 4g63. its exactly what im looking for. but i may just pick up both kits just because haha
  16. first off im not sure if this the right place to post this but here it is anyway. i used to have an 95 talon tsi with a 92 6 bolt swap and eclipse bumpers front and back which i later sold to my brother. my question is which kit is better detailed, revell gsx or the amt fast and furious kit. my plan is to either find a neon kit or the amt 88 daytona kit to transplant the motor into and weather the eclipse and throw it in the junkyard . i want the kit mostly for the motor but i could always use other peices from the kit such as rims and seats ect.
  17. nice datsun dude. i like the color you chose. but it looks to me like the engine bay is weathered a little too much unless its a problem you had with the paint. it looks very lumpy for some reason
  18. sorry guys. go look in the finished section
  19. well guys i finished this thing two days ago. if you seen what it looked like before then you know it looked like s**t. tell me what you guys think
  20. here are the back tires i found in my parts box. i think they might be a little bit too big but im gonna go for it anyway i have the body and hood sprayed. trim still needs to be painted im still debating on painting the engine bay a different color quick mock up of what shes gonna look like its some pieces of scrap wood i threw together for the hell of it.
  21. i did this a while back i think its time for a rebuild its a revell 55 chevy street machine i dont have anything in mind yet other than paint and possibly wheels and tires. i would like to find another motor to put in it also. im painting it with testors one coat laquer emerald green heres what it looks like now the reason for rebuilding it is because i rushed putting it together. it was done in like a day and id like to make it look alot better
  22. to be honest with you guys when i use spray paints i usually buy the cheap paint in blue cans for under a buck at walmart. other than not having too many colors to pick from its not bad stuff. the only paint i really use though is the primer flat black and red. but ive never had a problem with it. the color turns out fine and can be polished
  23. i have finished this kit the other night and finally got some pictures of it. it did not turn out as well as i wanted it too but im happy with it. i built a turbo for the stock b18 it came with and i lowered it. it was gonna have a carbon fiber hood but i ripped it trying to put it on. i apologize for the quality of the pictures. my flash is broken on my camera and the lighting is very poor in my house. My inspiration for the build.i was going for the jdm look and a few with the first civic i built
  24. this is sweet man. whats the color?
