  1. AMT kit, modelhaus tyres. Here you go: Have a look at my models on my facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scale-Models-by-Jarkko-Antikainen/424152967674396
  2. Here´s mine: Chopped top from amt 67 Fairlane, scrathcbuild A- pillars, amt Edsel tyres.
  3. All I vanted to say has been said already. I can add nothing but ´cause both of them are so incredibly cool Mercs.
  4. Quite nice and detailed kustom car model from a simple kit with multipiece body, characteristic body proportions and poor overall detail. I also have that kit. At first I thought to use it as a parts donor for flintstone resin body ( similar stock cadillac 4D body that plastic kit has, but with chezoom top ). After seeing your model I started wondering if that one piece resin body could be used with chopped plastic kit top.... Thanks for sharing great model and for new idea.
  5. Thanks, all you can steal this idea if you want to..
  6. Thanks for kind words all you people! Paint: Tamiya light gun metal + tamiya pearl clear + some light sanding to get rid of excess shine. Ink pen for lines and rivets. Lines and rivets are ment to look quickly free hand painted, they are not ment to replicate real ones. I have had a little piece of red tinted acetate for a long now, been saving it for some gasser model.. but decided to use it for this one instead. Oh, and here is the only pic I have from interior:
  7. Well well, it´s time to reveal pics of this previously highly classified vehiche which is rumoured to have been Red Barons personal transportation during ww.. vw.. OK, let´s cut the bs. Here is my imaginary vision of one srange bug. Gunze kit with custom paint, lowered stance, modelhaus swamp cooler, aluminium spun hubcaps and some scratchbuild and PE parts. Boy this was fun to build!
  8. Thank you all for your kind words. Those wire wheels and white walls were indeed ment to be a surprising and traditional element on this model.
  9. Chromecop was faster than me to tell the facts
  10. This bodystyle of Century was produced from 1967 to 1997 by Toyota with minor updates. a Aoshima seldom tells years of their kitted cars. 1997 is my guess, based on large headlights and modern interior parts.

    T5000

This is soooo cool and professionally crafted model!
  12. An Aoshima kit with some minor modifications as Finnish licence plates, Mr Modeller side mirrors, Pegasus Wheels and Modelhaus tyres. Lowered stance and new exhaust tip. Body color: Tamiya racing white, polished and waxed. Interior color: Tamiya champagne gold and flat clear. So this is my latest finished model. On to the next one..

    Badillac !

Right. Now I have two Badillacs from Flintstone, opened a hood from one. Because casting of the hood is so thin I´m going to rob a hood from arii kit and modify it to fit badillacs body. Also some minor modifications will take place, not going to mess the original Zed- Design though.
  14. Have you seen this one yet? http://public.fotki.com/Letukkamies/air-trax-simca-vedette/ Those are not my pics althought I have one Vedette project under progress. I have built Air-Trax 1969 Saab 96, Volvo P1800 and Anglia and I must say that quality, level of engraving and scale realism is really great.
  15. Great looking cars. My Cadillac models: STS-V Gotham City Cruiser ´75 Eldo lowrider with hideaway headlights.
  16. Thanks. Actually thais tamiya dark yellow spray is more greenish than yellow as this project pic shows:
  17. Here is my version of this kit: Mr Model Luxy- wheels, Tamiya Bridgestone Potenza tyres, tamiya Dark Yellow paint and some metal transfers from KA Models. Otherwise this model is box stock.
  18. This topic was useful to me because it made me realise just how good this kit it. This is the result: Jada ´07 GT 500 with Tamiya Dark Yellow Spray paint and rolling stock from Mr Model, S H E L B Y - metaltransfers from KA Models.
  19. Thanks. Exhaust tips, old style Finnish licence plates and wheels were only modifications. Paint is Tamiya Fine Surfacer Primer with Tamiya clearcoat.
  20. This one is almost box - stock Aoshima model. My car model-oriented fotki- albums: http://public.fotki.com/unturalli/ http://public.fotki.com/antikainen/
  21. Thanks. I used wheels and tyres from Revell lowrider Cadillac, hubcaps came from AMT ´62 Impala kit ( old release ). Blue is from Tamiya spray cans, vinyl top is humrol flat enamel paints. Front seats came from Toyota 2000 GT. Kit was right hand drive so I converted it to LHD. I made old Finnish licence plates.
  22. At first, let me introduce myself: I am Jarkko Antikainen, 40 years old modeller living in Finland. I do build mostly non- stock vehicles, lowrides, kustoms and so on. I am new to this forum so I am trying to learn how to add photos and so on... Here´s a ´72 Corolla as a kinda street cruiser: All Corolla pics: http://public.fotki....toyota-corolla/ My car model-oriented fotki- albums: http://public.fotki.com/unturalli/ http://public.fotki.com/antikainen/
