  1. First, and most importantly, congratulations to you and your wife on the new baby! What is in the Hobby Design set? I have the Revell kit and wonder how much might be useful. Congrats dad. Joe.
  2. Very nice. How did you lower the stance? I have one in the stash and i definitely don't want it up on tippy toes! Joe.
  3. According to google, the Modish Building is/was in Portland.
  4. Thanks Bob. Are they in the Chevelle/Beaumont set or stand alone? Joe.
  5. I just got to the part of dry fitting the front grill/valance to the body. I have a very bad match. The mating part of the body wraps under more than the valance. Which is accurate? Do I sand the valance down to meet the body (preferred and easier to do I think) or do I coaxe the body out to meet the valance???? Anyone who has wrestled this beast into submission is welcome to jump in here. Thanks, Joe.
  6. Nice Eric. Makes me want to do mine but I have a few to finish first and need more reference shots to convert to a '68. Joe.
  7. Hey yeah! Heck of a good job. Nice cobra. Joe.
  8. Focus is not my problem. My problem is speed. I have tried one-at-a-time and multiple. For me, neither results in faster builds. Joe.
  9. Wouldn't you love a complete 1/25 gas station for a diorama? I am sure many of you can scratch build one, bur for me I would need one with "...some assembly required"! I know you can buy pieces such as pumps and such I would like a city one and a country one. Joe.
  10. Nice work. I am expecting it will take almost a year to do the 1/24 Accurate Miniature version! Joe.
  11. Tis is the first time I have seen a WIP run in REVERSE!!!! Been there...done that, sorry. I have the same one on my bench now. Where did you get the 440? Joe.
  12. A couple of things: Silence is golden, or at least that is what you will think when you price the real quiet ones. The only truly silent rig is running from a large canister of CO2. Otherwise, a GOOD $60 compressor will be fine if you build a plywood box for it with carpet padding lining all the sides. Be sure to leave an opening so it can breathe.
  13. The tamiya white is what i use and it is ok. Just remember to fill any depression or hole, the putty when applied must be higher than the surface because it shrinks so much when it dries. Or just reconcile yourself to two applications. Joe
  14. Chicago is a big place, but I have not seen any south or wesr of the city and none on the gold coast.
  15. Truthfully, I am not sure. I usually tell people I like to work with my hands and it lets me solve problems that are NOT family or work related and I have done it since I was a little kid. Joe.
  16. Geez! That came out really nice. Congratulations. Joe.
  17. Great car. Fantasric color scheme. Joe.
  18. Speaking of seems, does the center overlap the sides or vice versa? Still looking for tip on how to do masking tape method. Joe.
  19. Can i get to a '59 'vette by using the chrome from the multi piece body '59 kit with the '58 body and chassis? Joe.
  20. Love the paint scheme. Well shot too! Joe.
